Ahead of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event (SNME) XLIV in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on the May 22nd episode of WWE SmackDown, Blake Monroe would make her presence felt. Backstage, before the main event, we saw Chelsea Green walking around the arena, that is, until Blake Monroe introduced herself. Green would try to be absolutely polite, saying it was her pleasure to meet the up-and-coming star.
Unfortunately, Blake Monroe was not receptive to the idea and said she would have preferred not to meet Chelsea Green first. When it rains, it does really pour, as Chelsea Green would get beaten down by the Irresistible Forces, Nia Jax and Lash Legend, with Jax saying that even when Green tries to make friends with new people she hasn’t met, she still gets rejected time and again.
The Glamour Blake Monroe Makes Her Arrival
For weeks, Monroe’s arrival has been hyped up on WWE SmackDown. It hasn’t been a year since Monroe came to NXT, where she tore up the brand. It only took Blake Monroe four months to make her stamp in the White and Gold Brand, winning the NXT Women’s North American Championship at Halloween Havoc 2025 against the ever-intimidating Zaria.
In only 11 months, the former Mariah May has made a huge impact in WWE. If anyone doesn’t know her, Monroe is not only a pretty face but also an extremely dangerous competitor. She has won titles all over the world, becoming a winner of the World of Wonder Ring STARDOM Goddesses of Stardom Championship, along with being a one-time AEW Women’s World Champion in her time being #AllElite.
For a while, Blake Monroe has been the worst-kept secret of professional wrestling, and she is really that good. Now, she’s in the big leagues; there’s no doubt in our minds that Monroe will be a top player in the SmackDown Women’s Division.
