Saturday, it’s going to be May and AEW Collision returns to Peoria, Illinois, with a stacked card where Jungle Jack Perry, Willow Nightingale, and Kevin Knight will defend their AEW Championships. Elsewhere on the card, we’re starting the new month with tag action connected to events on the last edition of AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision.
10-Man Tag
The Dogs once again join up with the Death Riders for the second week in succession. Last week, these combined factions overcame The Rascalz and The Young Bucks. The Rascalz are back for a second hit. Undeterred by the threat posed by Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and PAC, Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed, and Zachary Wentz are going to have to take some big, heavy hits.
With Clark Connors and David Finlay on the Death Riders’ side, there is a clear, distinct difference in the approach of each side. Rough, ready, and by any means necessary, The Rascalz and their partners face a deadly threat. However, the Rascalz will find themselves teaming with a pair who have much experience battling the Death Riders. Top Flight has, over the past few years, found itself time and again in the crosshairs of Moxley-led factions.
If Tony Schiavone is on commentary, I’m sure he’ll bring up the $3,000 Three Kings Christmas Casino Royale. However, beyond this match, and despite getting an increasing number of slick licks from Moxley and crew, the results have been one-sided.
On this occasion, can the speed and athleticism overcome the grounded, bruising offense of the heels? SIDE NOTE- Does anyone else think Death Rides and The Dogs sounds like some motorbike-themed rock band?

AEW TBS champion, Willow Nightingale, is looking to continue her form as the comeback killer when she takes on the returning Anna Jay. Jay has not been seen on AEW programming since Jay and Tay Melo were knocked out of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship tournament.
Given the high bar set by the returning Hiraku Shida and Queen Aminata, can Jay either upset the champion? Or achieve a stand-out performance that will see her establish a place in the current women’s pecking order?
AEW National champion, Jungle Jack Perry, for the second week in a row, will put his title up against another potential strong foil. After an impressive and breathtaking spot-filled match against El Clone last week, CMLL standout Mascara Dorada gets his shot.
Impressive in the Continental Classic and when challenging for the AEW Continental Championship last year, this is likely Perry’s toughest challenge yet. Can the former Jungle Boy retain his title until at least All Out 2026, as I’ve predicted?
Finally, between title defenses and challenging for the AEW World Championship on this upcoming week’s Dynamite/Collision special, Kevin Knight takes on HOOK. The temporary leader of The Opps has his cold, handsome eyes on the AEW TNT Championship. Competing most recently in dark matches and for Limitless Wrestling, HOOK’s booking remains interesting.
“The Jet is not the one to play with.”
