Finn Balor Battered by Old Judgment Day Running Mates on 4/6 WWE Raw

For the past four years, the Judgment Day has been a huge presence throughout WWE programming. They have been through multiple iterations of the faction, from Edge’s leadership and the rise of Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley, to the current group centered around Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan. Edge got kicked out the same day that Finn Balor joined.

Since then, Balor has maintained the role of a father figure, advising Mysterio to join the group. As the years went by, they gained several championships, but tension arose quite frequently. That left Balor more and more frustrated. On the March 9, 2026 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, he got kicked out of the Judgment Day. He’s been on a mission to get back at Mysterio, securing a match with him at WrestleMania: Vegas. How would Mysterio respond to his challenge?

An Attack on Balor Forces an Interesting Declaration

Tensions within the Judgment Day always popped up, but a recent feud forced Balor to re-evaluate his time with the faction. In January, he started a feud with CM Punk for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

During that feud, Punk told him that he was wasting his time with the Judgment Day and that he should consider leaving. He later faced him at the Elimination Chamber, where he lost. Next Monday, Mysterio lost the Intercontinental Championship because Balor did not help. Due to that, he was kicked out the following week.

Since then, he helped Penta retain the Intercontinental Championship and challenged Mysterio to a match at WrestleMania. On the April 6 Raw, he was going to have a match with JD McDonagh. However, he was attacked before the match began.

With McDonagh waiting in the ring, Mysterio ran up behind him, punched him, and started stomping on him. He gave him punches of his own before McDonagh came down to fight. That was a bad decision, as his face hit straight into the metal ring post.

Balor got Mysterio into the ring, then clotheslined him and began stomping him. McDonagh got up and into the ring, but was promptly thrown outside. Mysterio then hit Balor with the AAA Mega Championship, sending him to the ground. He then grabbed a chair as McDonagh rejoined him in the ring. Balor was hit with chair shots and stomps as Mysterio pointed to the WrestleMania sign. It was clear he had accepted the challenge that was given to him last week.

However, Balor wasn’t entirely defeated. In a promo afterward, he heavily implied the return of the Demon. Mysterio may have won this fight, but if the Demon returns, Balor might have the upper hand at WrestleMania.
