Ricky Sosa Signs with TNA Wrestling

Ricky Sosa, one of the fastest-rising names bringing a new level of intensity to TNA Wrestling, has officially signed with the company. The announcement comes after months of momentum. It capped off by a statement-making in-ring debut that proved Sosa isn’t just arriving, he’s already making noise.

Sosa signed during an electric moment at TNA Sacrifice in New Orleans. He addressed a fired-up crowd that made it clear his presence is already being felt. Chris Bey introduced him, saying that one day, the company signed him and allowed the Ultimate Finesser to become a one-time X-Division Champion and a 3-time World Tag Team Champion. He praised the company for investing in young talent.

“Yo, what’s up, New Orleans? I am so happy to be here tonight,” Sosa said as the crowd erupted. “This is a moment I’ve been working for for five years. I want to thank TNA management. I want to thank Carlos and Tommy for bringing me over and allowing me to show the world what Ricky Sosa is all about. This isn’t just a signing; this is a moment to make history. I want to thank my family, I want to thank my friends, because they believed in Ricky Sosa before the world knew my name… and today, the world is going to see TNA Wrestling step into the Sosa Season.”

The Belgian sensation

Born in the Netherlands, Ricky Sosa, 21, is dubbed “The Young Savage.” He is the current wXw European Champion in Germany. A few weeks ago, his entrance started to become viral on social media. People reacted with “WWE needs to sign this guy now” or “best entrance in pro-wrestling.” Some wrestling media put him on the “ones to watch in 2026” list.

Since 2022, Sosa has worked principally in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, the UK, Ireland, and Germany. Earlier this year, he had a chance for the WWE ID title against Cappuccino Jones in the Netherlands. If he failed to become Champion, Sosa made clear WWE was his goal for the future. Sosa said in an interview:

“It was an honor. Like, I had the opportunity to face one time. We wrestled two times, actually, and we had two great matches together. I was so blessed about that, so grateful. It’s like all that works finally pays off. It feels like they kind of know who I am. But, yeah, it was cool. I was so happy about that. We had a great match. He was happy. I’m happy. I’m looking forward to it.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Ricky Sosa spoke about possibly joining ‘the big leagues’ in WWE, TNA Wrestling, or AEW. He confessed that he is a huge fan of Randy Orton, saying he is the one who inspires him the most, and he would love to compete against him. He also quoted the current X-Division Champion, Leon Slater, as a man he wants to wrestle, as well as MJF, Carmelo Hayes, Swerve Strickland, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Ilya Dragunov.

The new TNA Wrestling sensation

Sosa made his official TNA in-ring debut on March 12, 2026, where he defeated Brad Attitude in a decisive performance that immediately turned heads and set the tone for what was to come. After already proving himself inside the ring, this signing only solidifies his place as one of the most exciting new additions to the roster.

Still early in his career, Sosa carries himself with an intensity that seems fearless, never blending into the background. With a style that’s aggressive, unpredictable, and fueled by a relentless edge, he brings a level of energy that feels both fresh and dangerous.

His signing can be compared to Leon Slater’s. After a few matches during the TNA Impact Wrestling UK Invasion Tour in 2023, Slater was signed at only 19. The Young OG is currently the youngest reigning X-Division Champion ever. He is also the youngest PLE main-eventer. In two weeks, he will equal Moose’s record of 262-day reign. Austin Aries’ 298-day record remains reachable for the record-breaking wrestler.
