Elimination Chamber 2026: A “Rock” in the WWE Box?

Who’s in the box? Chris Jericho? His Fozzy concerts have simmered down, and he should be free to show up. But, according to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, he is reportedly still an AEW superstar. Stone Cold Steve Austin? He is confirmed to be at Mania 42, but he has too many beers to keep in that crate. John Cena? He is expected to be a WWE ambassador, but the fans can’t see him in that crate.

WWE loves mystery storylines like this one to stir the pot and create some buzz. They love it when fans are talking about their product, but WWE should reward their viewers by delivering an actual surprise rather than hyping up what could be an underwhelming reveal. No one is permitted to open the box until the Elimination Chamber this Saturday. Here are three superstars who could be in that crate.

The Rock

The Rock officially announced that Jumanji has wrapped up filming, and his schedule is now free for WrestleMania season. He was trying to sell Cody Rhodes’ soul last year at Elimination Chamber. Maybe he will continue that storyline this year. At some point, Cody Rhodes will become desperate to get his revenge on Drew McIntyre and will do anything it takes to get that title match at Mania.

In a recent interview, Drew McIntyre said that Cody has thick skin and does not run to management if he’s offended. When it comes to Nick Aldis, that is true, but what if Cody accepts help from the head of TKO to win the Chamber? Bloodline has a history of screwing Drew out of the WWE Title, and Cody should turn heel to spice things up. Siding with Rock would create the buzz they need.
