AEW Collision Preview (2/7/26) – 8-Man Parking Lot Fight!

Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, AEW Collision leaves Arlington for Las Vegas! We have a whole card of confirmed contests to add to the huge 8-man parking lot fight! With huge matches made for AEW Grand Slam Australia, there will be tune-up matches, like SkyFlight vs. the Death Riders. There will be thrillers like Kevin Knight vs. Scorpio Sky. Plus, the return of The Young Bucks to the Saturday night show. Women’s action with Thekla and Mina Shirakawa, and there will be traditions upheld like…

Tommaso Ciampa’s First TNT Championship Defense

As predicted, the new TNT Champion, Tommaso Ciampa, will maintain the legacy of the open challenge. However, his first defense of “Silvie” will be against not one but two other ROH stalwarts. Against Roderick Strong and Claudio Castagnoli, the numbers are against Ciampa. Yet what works to his advantage is the deep-rooted and ongoing rivalry between The Messiah of the Backbreaker and the Swiss Superman.

It was not that long ago that Strong defeated Castagnoli to stop the Death Rider lieutenant from advancing past the group stages of the Continental Classic. Even more recently, Castagnoli defended his CMLL World Championship against Strong on Collision. The issues between these two persist. Will their problems end with one claiming the TNT championship? As I discussed recently, Strong needs something to develop his character arc.

Ciampa understands fighting against the odds. The former WWE NXT Champion is grizzled, broken, but fearless and undeterred by odds or obstacles. With only one incredible match under his belt, where Ciampa bucked the trend some former WWE wrestlers have struggled with in adapting to the pace of AEW contests, how high is the Psycho Killer’s ceiling?

With two of AEW’s greatest pure wrestlers, Ciampa must put up or get out of the way.

Parking Lot Fight!

Eddie Kingston’s AEW return has seen a slow burn. Yet for some fans who’ve been concerned with the Mad King’s lack of focus on the big picture with Jon Moxley, this unseen powder keg of blowoff for Kingston’s first two feuds should be a good consolation prize.

Kingston and Ortiz upped the Grizzled Young Vets’ ante for a vicious street-fight style match. Challenging them to a parking lot brawl set many fans’ Pavlovian impulses into overdrive. With all four men’s tolerance and specialisms for violence, it was already a mouth-watering contest. Ortiz is one of the wrestlers who made the parking lot brawl a classic.

Add to the mix the freshly debuted The Rascalz. Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz’s aerial abilities add all kinds of spots and potential for damage. Throw in a bounty hunter in Bryan Keith and too much man in Big Bill, again, with a history of entertaining plunder brawls, chef’s kiss.
