One day away from one of the biggest WWE PLEs of the year, Friday Night Fight Night goes to the Middle East for its 2026 WWE Royal Rumble “go-home” show. There will be a lot in store for the WWE Universe, so it will definitely be a “can’t miss” affair. Here’s a WWE SmackDown preview for January 30, 2026, live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Let’s run it down.
Going For Broke
Sami Zayn has fought tooth and nail to be taken seriously. He started his journey when he won the United States Championship from Solo Sikoa, recommissioning the “U.S. Open Challenge” and having the run of his career. To begin 2026, Zayn made a promise; he will finally become the Undisputed WWE Champion.
The “Underdog of the Underground” did not take the easy way out, winning a Fatal 4-Way Match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event against the likes of Randy Orton, Trick Williams, and the man he pinned after a Helluva Kick, Damian Priest.
It’s well-documented that Zayn has never once beaten Drew McIntyre before; now that the “Scottish Psychopath” is the world champion, McIntyre might be more dangerous than ever. McIntyre got in the head of Zayn last week when he said that all Zayn does is disappoint the people he loves, especially his young son.
Clearly, Zayn took that as fuel, blasting his way to become the number one contender in his home country of Montreal, Canada. This Friday, these two meet one last time before their epic showdown at the following night’s Royal Rumble.
What will the two combatants for the Undisputed WWE Championship have to say? Well, you can find out this Friday night, as WWE SmackDown takes over Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at 12 p.m. Eastern Time, and you can catch it only on The USA Network and Netflix!
