Nic Nemeth re-signed with TNA Wrestling

TNA Wrestling Re-Signs Nic Nemeth and Five More Talents

TNA Wrestling ended the year 2025 with the major re-signing of the TNA World Tag Team Champions, Jeff and Matt Hardy. Last week, Mustafa Ali announced he would stay with the company. Despite Killer Kelly leaving and The Rascalz coming to AEW, the re-signings continue.

The Home Town Man, Jody Threat, Cedric Alexander, John Skyler, Steve Maclin, and Nic Nemeth all agreed to spend more time in the iMPACT Zone. As the new AMC era is about to begin, the company can count on a roster full of talent to make this era the best it has ever had.

Steve Maclin

Despite being unconfirmed by TNA, Steve Maclin reportedly signed a contract extension with the company. The length of the deal is unknown. Maclin debuted in TNA back in June 2021, starting in the X-Division. He made his way into the World title picture in 2023. Maclin won the vacant title at TNA Rebellion, holding it for just two months before dropping it to Shelley.

He became the TNA International Champion, winning the brand new title at April 2025’s Unbreakable. Maclin lost it to Frankie Kazarian five months later. His second reign lasted two months, ending at last December’s Final Resolution. Maclin is not a part of the TNA Genesis card, as of now.

Cedric Alexander

Ahead of his challenge for the X-Division title this Saturday at TNA Genesis, Cedric Alexander reportedly signed a new contract with the company. No details on contract length or other terms have been revealed. His deal was originally up around last October’s Bound for Glory, but he’s wrestled for TNA eight times since then.

The 36-year-old made his way to TNA in June 2025, nearly six months after his multi-year WWE run came to an end. He’s been active on the indies as well, competing frequently for Deadlock Pro and House of Glory along with a few others. If he is to win the X-Division title Saturday, it will be his first title anywhere since 2021. He is a former WWE Cruiserweight, 24/7, and Raw Tag Team Champion.

John Skyler

Walking in the footsteps of Mustafa Ali, John Skyler appeared on Busted Open Radio and confirmed that he recently re-signed with TNA. It was not a difficult negotiation for Skyler. He quickly agreed to the offer that was presented to him by Tommy Dreamer. Skyler called TNA the best team he’s ever been on and said the January 15 AMC premiere feels like a dream.

He likened the moment to ECW’s first pay-per-view, Barely Legal, in 1997. A journeyman in wrestling before finding a home in TNA, Skyler was a regular on AEW Dark back in 2020-2021. He told Busted Open that being part of Order 4 in TNA and teaming with Hotch has been the biggest blessing of his career.

The Home Town Man

One of TNA’s most popular wrestlers, the star will continue to bring smiles to his hometown fans everywhere he wrestles. Announcing his re-signing, Home Town Man said: “My personal goal in this new era of TNA Wrestling is to win gold. I want it in the history books that the Home Town Man has won a championship in TNA. That is why I have officially put pen to paper and re-signed with TNA Wrestling.”

Speaking about his love for TNA and for wrestling, Cody Deaner’s favorite wrestler added, “Home is where the heart is, and my home is in TNA. You truly feel like you are a member of a family here. I think professional wrestling is the coolest job in the world. To be able to officially say, ‘Hey, I am making a living in professional wrestling’ is literally my childhood dream.”

Jody Threat

Jody Threat, a two-time TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion, has been a cornerstone of the TNA Knockouts division since 2023. Just re-signed, she is now embarking on a singles career after splitting with her Spitfire tag team partner, Dani Luna. She said, “This year is really my opportunity to show everyone who Jody Threat is.

“So, I am excited to let you know that I have re-signed with TNA Wrestling to give myself the ability to move forward and prove what the “Wild Child” Jody Threat can do as a solo competitor.” Speaking about her time in TNA so far, Threat added: “I am so thankful that this was the place that I signed with, for my first TV contract, a big deal for someone like me as a female Canadian. It’s been such a learning opportunity, and I just feel so blessed.”

Nic Nemeth

Multi-time World Champion Nic Nemeth has re-signed with TNA Wrestling, it was announced today, as first reported on Busted Open on SiriusXM. Formerly known as Dolph Ziggler in WWE, Nic Nemeth made his TNA debut in January 2024. He had a lengthy, successful reign as the TNA World Champion. He is now riding through the tag team circuit, teaming with his brother, Ryan Nemeth.

Nic Nemeth is a Cleveland native who graduated from Kent State University after setting several school records as a wrestler. He made his pro wrestling debut in 2004. Nemeth was a champion in singles and tag team action during his nearly 20-year career in WWE. He was a 2-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and 6-time Intercontinental Champion. As the 2025 Call Your Shot Gauntlet co-Winner, Nic has promised to call his shot for a title match … soon.
