Mike Santana will defend against Frankie Kazarian at TNA Genesis

TNA Genesis 2026 (01/17/2026) – LIVE Results

Join our LIVE CHAT right now by heading to the comment section at the bottom, logging in, and then the chat will open up on the side.

The path to TNA Genesis 2026 has been totally intertwined with TNA Wrestling’s broadcast deal with AMC TV. The PLE takes place only two days after the Thursday Night iMPACT premiere on AMC. So, the card couldn’t be complete until last night (and even this morning).

Sadly, some visa issues prevent some wrestlers from competing, as announced. That includes Dani Luna and TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater (despite him wrestling on WWE SmackDown last night in London, UK, Slater remains a TNA Wrestling talent. His visa issues are real).

We all know you’re locked and loaded for the show, so let’s get right into it. Here are LIVE TNA Genesis 2026 results as they happen LIVE, on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Let’s Nygma-run it down.

Live Venue

TNA Genesis 2026 will take place live from the Curtis Culver Center in Garland, TX.

TNA Genesis 2026 Results (01/17/26)

  • Three hours before the Countdown to Genesis. The Four-Way match for the TNA International title, and more, is announced for the Countdown.
  • We are now an hour and a half before the Countdown. 11.30 PM in France, nothing more to say. You can still check my Genesis preview and the Righteous signing news.
  • Less than 30 minutes. Are you ready? I haven’t shared my prediction on the TNA International title match. Nygma says, It will depend on who the mystery fourth participant is. Stacks retained, unless… In my opinion, only Santino Marella can dethrone Stacks.
  • Vicious Vicki is backstage. VixTess seems to have a problem with her, but Indi Hartwell came to support Vicki. A tenth match in the making? Check here.
  • Mister Elegance is in the house.

The Countdown to TNA Genesis 2026

7 PM EST, 1 AM in France, welcome to TNA Genesis! We see Frankie Kazarian arriving at the arena earlier. Mike Santana arrived, and Nic Nemeth, too. Gia Miller is surrounded by Ash by Elegance, Tommy Dreamer, and Busted Open’s Dave LaGreca for a pre-show panel. They talk about this historic week in TNA.

  • We can watch the Nic Nemeth segment that happened after Thursday Night iMPACT went off air. The Texas Death Match will be a no-DQ match. “A wrestler must be pinned to a 3-count or made to submit/rendered unconscious before the referee will begin the ten-count. Some of these matches have been known to last for hours,” says Wikipedia
  • Hardys vs Righteous predictions: Dave LaGreca chooses the Righteous, Ash the Hardys, Gia and Dreamer the Hardys.
  • Léi Ying Lee vs Zaria predictions: Miller explains that both women will have a friend at ringside. Dreamer, Ash, and La Greca choose Lee. Dani Luna will have the opportunity for the title against the winner of the Genesis match.
  • Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt are at the commentary table.

TNA International Championship Match:  Stacks (c) vs. Eric Young vs. BDE vs. KJ Orso

    • KJ Orso is a local talent who already competed in the iMPACT Zone as Fuego del Sol 6 years ago. He is impressive as the match just started. Arianna Grace is at ringside. Stacks and Orso are in the ring, when Young takes care of BDE outside. Arianna Grace stole BDE’s cellphone. Orso and DBE take control. Stereo punches in the opposite corners. Young and Stacks regroup. BDE is on fire. Now, Orso attacks. He almost pinned BDE! Stacks is not ready to let the title down, BDE replies with a clip cutter. Young unloads a piledriver on Orso. Stacks throws Young away and pins Orso to retain the title.

Santino Marella was watching backstage. Daria Rae arrives and asks him if he makes decisions based on emotions. Looks like they don’t like each other…

    • Hendry vs Moose vs Alexander predictions: They all praise Joe Hendry. Not me, as you can expect.
    • Nice segment on JDC and Eddie Edwards, as JDC retires tonight. Miller talks about a high-intensity match. Dreamer says he is as happy as he is sad. He wants JDC to win this last dance. Miller, La Greca, and Ash think the same. Ash reminds her of not having the chance to have an ultimate match.
    • A match is added to the Countdown. Indi Hartwell and Vicious Vicki will face VixTess.

Indi Hartwell & Vicious Vicki Venuto vs. Mila Moore & Tessa Blanchard

    • The Personal Concierge is in the ring to remind us that Heather and Maggie are the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions. They make their way to the ring with Mr. Elegance. The Personal Concierge says the crowd stinks. They will be sitting in VIP for the upcoming match.
    • Here comes Tessa Blanchard and Mila Moore, with Victoria Crawford and Mr. Robert Stone. Vicious Vicki Venuto and Indi Hartwell, respectively, make their way to the ring. Hartwell’s music is very cool (which means I’m still alive at 1.40 AM). Mister Elegance is posing at ringside, counting his chocolate squares (the abs, here). Vicki and Blanchard start. Moore continues to pummel the young lady. Blanchard did a great job of making Moore a mean woman.
    • Tom Hannifan tries to fill the void in the ring with Albuquerque’s show’s promo. That says a lot about what is not happening in the ring. I mean, wrestling. Vicki finally makes the tag. Hartwell is unleashed. Of course, Robert Stone interferes. The Elegance Brand, too! Tessa Blanchard gets the win for her team.

Back to the panel, Gia Miller seems to remember her Bound for Glory loss to Blanchard.

    • Swann vs Francis predictions: Dreamer says Swann.
    • Mara Sadè vs. Ryan Nemeth predictions: Ash predicts a Superkick party.
    • Ali vs Elijah predictions: Miller talks about a horse. Dreamer thinks like me, Ali wins because of Order 4. Miller chooses Elijah. Ash thinks like Dreamer.
    • Santana vs Kazarian predictions: Ash has no opinion. LaGreca thinks Nemeth, like me.

    TNA Genesis 2026

    • USA National Anthem time (I’m singing the French one, meanwhile).

    AJ Francis vs Rich Swann

    • Francis is not coming alone. Swann brought dancers. Francis attacks, but Swann replies fast. He shines. Francis is sent outside the ring. Swann comes to fly, missing at first, and then reaching the target. Swann unleashed some kicks on Francis’ chest. The difference in style between the opponents is so obvious. Matthew Rehwoldt just compared Swann to a bag of potatoes. Francis strangles Swann on the steps. Francis wants to go for the Down Payment Chokeslam, but Swann escapes and is sent outside again.
    • AJ Francis is a brute. Swann does its best, but Francis is very strong. Swann hits the 450, just two. You will hate me, but I like this match. Francis goes for a superplex. Swann replies. HE BITES FRANCIS ON THE ARM!! Francis hits a TFL as Swann flies. Styles Clash by Francis. Going for a second, but Destroyer by Swann. THIS IS AWESOME. Splash by Swann, just two again. Francis hits a reverse Down Payment and a Down Payment to win. Strange end but great bout.

Backstage, Gia Miller welcomes TNA World Champion Mike Santana, who wears the war paint on his face. Santana thanks the people who congratulated him after his win. Including his daughter, Ariana.

    Elijah vs Mustafa Ali

    • The Great Hands, Tasha Steelz, and Special Agent 0 are here, of course. The sound of a guitar, here comes Elijah. So, a guitar will end up on someone’s back. The Great Hands attack the Drifter. Elijah jumps in the ring. Pop-up powerbomb by Elijah. In his first match in 6 months, Elijah is in great shape. Skyler and Hotch interfere. It’s a one-on-one bout, not a 5 vs. 1!
    • Ali is in control and attacks the repaired triceps. Standing Moonsault by Ali, he now works on Elijah’s arm. Ali unleashes a rolling neckbreaker, nice. Standing moonsault on Elijah’s feet. Punches exchanged in the middle of the ring. Eljah comes for a suplex, Ali counters, but Elijah hits a clothesline. Knee to the jaw, but Ali regroups. Death Valley Driver. In Ali I trust, sorry!
    • The 450 misses, but Elijah’s Highwaysman Farewell piledriver works. Hotch and Skyler interfere again. Special Agent 0 grabbed the referee’s leg. EJECTED FROM RINGSIDE, GREAT HANDS TOO! Steelz comes with the guitar, Ali hits Elijah on the back, and he wins. Surprising? Absolutely not. Nice match, again.

One Last Dance – JDC vs. Eddie Edwards

    • I will try not to cry. The System arrives. Eddie Edwards walks down the ramp. JDC hugs his friends before going to the ring. Everyone is up to salute the veteran. JDC tries a schoolboy, nice little joke. JDC pants are inspired by Terry Funk’s. Hannifan says Edwards and JDC have never faced each other in more than 20 years. JDC seems to master the match. I would not like to see Edwards bargain the fight to let his friend win.
    • Edwards attacks, big chops. He doesn’t hold back, good. Powerslam by Dango, nice. JDC now unloads the chops. Enzuigiri by Edwards, Frankensteiner from the top rope, and a dive from Edwards. Outside, JDC attacks with more chops, a belly-to-back suplex on the apron. Edwards’s hand is the new target of JDC. BEAUTY SHOT, and chops agogo. Legdrop from the outside by JDC. Strange pace, strange atmosphere…
    • Tornado DDT by JDC, Falcon Arrow. And Edwards doesn’t quit. Blue Thunder Bomb. THE WALLS OF JERICHO!!! Will Eddie tap out? THIS IS AWESOME!! I agree. Superplex attempt, headbutts on the top rope. JDC unloads a huge suplex from the top rope, but Edwards kicks out. Leg drop missed, Boston Knee Party. Another, and JDC kicks out. Die-Hard driver by Edwards, Boston Knee Party, and it’s over.
    • THANK YOU, JDC. Another strange end of the match, but what a match! Myers, Moose, and Lish come to the ring. Eddie and JDC hug. The roster is on the ramp, that’s fabulous. JDC kisses the ring, with tears in the eyes. He thanks the crowd, hugs the officials, and the announcers. Carlos Silva and Tommy Dreamer are here. Dango bows down. THANK YOU, DANGO!!

    Mara Sadè vs Ryan Nemeth

    930e87dbd44a0d2fa2f5b4849627e7c2 1
    | Source: Lastwordonsports.com - Steph Franchomme
    • Superkick Party begins. Ryan Nemeth finally removed the Turkey suit. Nemeth attacks, disrespecting Sadè. Sadè goes for a sleeper, Nemeth counters. He poses. This man hits a shot and takes a pose. May we end this one fast, please? Nemeth dumps Sadè. And that’s the way he loves her? Sadè slaps Nemeth, clothesline as a reply. STOP THAT, PLEASE.
    • Damn, Nemeth is a former World Tag Team Champion. Sadè almost lost an eye. Nemeth tried to chat. Slingblade by Sadè. Dropkick on Sadè on the top rope. NEMETH WINS, HE CHEATED. Seriously, was it necessary?

Backstage, Stacks and Arianna Grace blame Santino Marella for thinking with his heart and not his brain.

TNA Knockouts World Championship – Léi Ying Lee (c) (w/ Xia Brookside) vs. NXT’s Zaria (w/ Sol Ruca)

    • It’s strange to listen to a theme that was Killer Kross’s TNA’s one before. TNA KNKNOCKOUTS, well done TNA for showing that on screen! Power vs. precision in this match, as Matthew Rehwoldt notices. Zaria is a powerhouse; Lee looks like a feather in her hands. Lee replies with kicks. Zaria counters most of Lee’s moves, ragdolling the Angel Warrior. Texas Cloverfield turned into a suplex. Zaria is the boss tonight. Lee goes for the STF, countered. Lee finally made Zaria fall. Fists on the corner by Lee, Xploder.
    • Sleeper hold by Lee, Zaria countered with a cannonball with the Champion on her back. I will be awful, but that may be the first “true” wrestling match of the night. Spinebuster on the apron, Zaria is fast and furious. Here comes The Elegance Brand at the top of the ramp. Aria hit a huge Spear.
    • The referee was kicked. Sol Ruca and Xia attack H & M before they can attack. In the ring, Lee sent Zaria into the ringpost. Headbutt by Zaria. FRANKENSTEINER BY LEE FROM THE TOP ROPE !!! Lee and Zaria exchange punches. Facebuster by Lee, spinning heel kick, WARRIOR’S WAY! Lee retains. Well, could be better. Handshake between Zaria and Lee, and here comes Elayna Black.

Backstage, Nic Nemeth rants. “May the best man win.” We know who he is talking about.

TNA World Tag Team Championship – The Hardys (c) vs The Righteous

    • Jeff is taking care of Vincent. The crowd is supporting the Hardys. Excellent teamwork from the brothers. Vincent attacks, Matt Hardy replies with a Side Effect. Dutch interferes. Matt Hardy is in the bad corner. Comparing Dutch to Abyss is rude; I disagree with Tom Hannifan. Vincent says to Matt, I’m sorry. Matt finally regroups with a Twist of Fate.
    • Hardys unleashed, Vincent is feeling the blow. Jeff is on fire. Interesting submission hold from Jeff, but Dutch saves Vincent. Matt pushes Dutch outside. The Hardys make marvels. DELETE! DELETE! Dutch’s look is quite something, scarily mad. Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb by Vincent and Dutch. Jeff grabs Vincent’s leg. Dutch misses the legdrop on Jeff outside. Lumbar interview required. Matt and Vincent exchange shots. Dutch grabbed a mic. “We want to hurt,” says Dutch. Matt hits the Twist of Fate, Jeff follows with the Swanton. The Hardys retain. I think it’s far from over between the 2 teams.
    • WHAT?!!! Dutch gives the belts to the Hardys! A pure nonsense. Hannifan and Rehwoldt agree with me, it’s not over.

WWE SmackDown featured in a TNA PLE. Leon Slater competed against Carmelo Hayes and failed. A message from Slater on screen. He apologizes for not being here due to visa issues. He thanks Joe Hendry for replacing him. OMG…

Moose vs Cedric Alexander vs NXT’s Joe Hendry

    • Joe Hendry left TNA Wrestling to come back as an NXT guest. Seriously… Moose’s old music can be heard. Alisha Edwards is with him. Cedric Alexander is focused. The crowd believes, not me. Moose and Alexander are impressive. Hendry sends Alexander up the steps. Moose eats the steps too. Another awful landing, like against Ethan Page in NXT. Is Moose injured?

    • TNA President Carlos Silva arrives. Moose can’t continue. Thank you, Hendry. Alexander continues and attacks. The 3-Way turns into a singles match. I hope Moose is preparing a Trafalgar blow. In the ring, Alexander and Hendry continue, but our hearts are with Moose.
    • MOOSE IS BACK IN THE RING! He suffers, but he delivers. Superplex by Moose, suplex by Hendry, frog splash by Alexander. HUGE. A Go to Hell on Alexander. My apologies to PCO, but Moose is not human. Moose eats a superplex, kicks out. Hendry is stuck in a crossface by Alexander. Moose prevents Hendry from tapping out. Alexander hits a Styles Clash. Moose kicks out. That’s the man I adore, the pillar of TNA. HUGE SPEAR BY MOOSE. Moose’s back gives up, Alexander with the Lumbar Check, and Hendry hits the Standing Ovation to win. A disgusting end for a magnificent match.

    Santino Marella’s time

    • We have one more match. He calls the Countdown panel for their predictions. Marella says, Santana. Ash says, Santana. LaGreca says, Santana. Gia Miller says, Santana. Daria Rae cuts them off. No one cares about Dreamer’s opinion, so let’s go with the match.

TNA World Championship – Santana (c) vs Kazarian

    • The Texas Death Match is a no-DQ, pinfall or submission, plus a 10-count one. The referee makes the Zip be heard. Frankie Kazarian is focused and asks Nemeth to lift the ropes for him. BORICUA TIME. Nemeth looks like a younger version of Shawn Michaels, the DX era.
    • Kazarian flees outside to start. Santana unloads the Superkicks that Mara Sadè couldn’t. Kazarian is very clever. HERE COMES THE TOYS!!! CHAIR. Kaz hit it on the stairs instead of Santana. Remember, Frankie Kazarian is 48 (I’m 46, and I rock, too). TABLE. ANOTHER CHAIR. THE BARRICADES. I love this. Cannonball from Santana on Kaz with a chair. Action spills in the crowd. That looks like the good old Lucha Underground matches. GARBAGE BIN.
    • Outside the arena itself, Santana eats a garage door, trash can shot. Back in the arena, Kaz unleashes a suplex to the floor. More chairs. CHAIR BATTLE. Kaz has the last word with one on Santana’s back. Kaz goes for a Fade to Black on 2 chairs, misses. Santana hits a piledriver on the two chairs. All I love. 3-COUNT OK. 10-COUNT STARTED. Nemeth went too slow.
    • Here comes a table. Santana eats the ringpost and Kaz Sanatan’s boot. CUTTER IN THE TABLE FROM KAZ ON SANTANA. 3-COUNT OK. 10- COUNT IN. Santana is almost up, but Kazarian throws him into the stairs. LADDER. BARBIE IS HERE!!! Barbed-wire baseball bat. Chicken wing counter. Barbed wire in the skull of Kaz. BRING THE TACKS, THE SALT, AND THE CITRUS, PLEASE. Santana climbs the ladder, and Kaz is on the table. PAPI SPLASH ON THE TABLE. 2-COUNT ONLY!
    • Santana argues with Nemeth. Stereo clotheslines. BARBED WIRE. SPIN THE BLOCK WIRED. 3- COUNT OK. The 10-COUNT IS IN. Kaz is down. SANTANA RETAINS. INSANE MATCH. So, Nemeth, you cash in or not? DANGER ZONE? HE DID IT.
    • Nemeth CASHES IN. He asks for a referee. SANTANA IS UP. The shot remains to be called.

No title changes, no big debuts, strange… The fact that a part of the roster was not able to be there can be a reason. Also, the fate of the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team title will be determined on NXT next week.

Léi Ying Lee, Mike Santana, and Moose made my night. Joe Hendry made me spend a bad one. As usual, a TNA PLE is also a mix of very good and very bad things… I come back to you with the review, with matches ratings, tomorrow, well, today. Good night, may the Nygma be with you.

That’s it for REAL-TIME TNA Genesis 2026 results as they happen in Garland, TX, on January, 17, 2025.
