DarkState Ruins Joe Hendry’s Concert on 12/30 WWE NXT

2025 has been an excellent year for many wrestlers in NXT. One wrestler who had an amazing year was Joe Hendry. He became the TNA Champion for the first time in his career. Bringing his energy to the main roster, he made surprise entries into the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. He also signed a full-time WWE contract last month. It has undoubtedly been an amazing year for him. In true Hendry fashion, he decided to have a celebration.

That celebration would involve a guitar, singing, and many cheers from the Performance Center audience. Would his performance go smoothly, or would there be some party crashers ready to ruin his show?

DarkState, Unfortunately, Disrupts Joe Hendry’s Concert

To some people, Hendry is a walking meme. He sings, has a catchphrase, and generally is popular with kids and families. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though. He always gets positive reactions wherever he shows up, and his gimmick certainly hasn’t gotten old so far. It’s always a treat when he brings out his guitar and sings to everyone about someone or something.

This time, he decided to sing about this year, as New Year’s Evil will be taking place in 2026. He ran through many of his opponents while encouraging people to watch next year. That’s a good strategy if you want people to turn into your TV show. Even Tony D’Angelo was seen at one point watching his performance. The song was very catchy as well. But there’s someone who isn’t singing along to his tune.

For the past couple of weeks, Hendry has been tangled up with many men who were also in this year’s Iron Survivor Challenge. One of those men was Dion Lennox from DarkState. They got into a backstage disagreement last week, but nothing got too serious. But when you provoke one member of DarkState, you encourage all of them.

Hendry was singing joyfully as always when the lights suddenly went out. Anticipation started to build, then the music and spotlights arrived. Soon enough, the four members of DarkState appeared in the crowd and began to rush the ring to attack Hendry.

They got to him and started wailing away. He was defenseless as the four men ruined his concert in the worst way possible. They hoisted him up and threw him down, as their explosive finisher claimed another wrestler.

Afterwards, the group gathered together as he lay helplessly on the mat. What started as an excellent night for Hendry turned into a horrible night thanks to DarkState. It’s clear that the battle between them is far from over.
