AEW has officially announced a major match for the Dynamite: Winter Is Coming special on December 10. Samoa Joe will defend the AEW World Championship against Eddie Kingston after Kingston laid down the challenge following his Thanksgiving Collision win.
Monumental Victory for the Mad King
Eddie Kingston grabbed some momentum heading into the special by defeating Opps member Katsuyori Shibata on Thanksgiving Collision. Once the match ended, Kingston went straight for Samoa Joe. Their tension has been building for weeks, especially after Joe got involved with HOOK, who rejoined the Opps at Full Gear after briefly aligning with Kingston.
The announcement has already created buzz and puts Kingston right back in the world title mix. He’s looking to reclaim his spot at the top of AEW, and Samoa Joe is the champion standing in his way.
