WWE NXT Preview (12/2/25) – Preparing for Deadline

We just wrapped up WWE NXT Gold Rush, and what an exciting two weeks it was. We saw a total of eight title matches over the two weeks, with three title changes. This week, we can expect to see the fallout of NXT Gold Rush and the preparation for NXT Deadline.

Last week at Gold Rush, the legendary John Cena announced the participants for the Iron Survivor match, which will take place at NXT Deadline on December 6. The winners of that match will earn the opportunity to challenge for the NXT Championship.

This week, we can expect tensions to be high among competitors, with the possibility of new championship matches being created for Deadline.

Iron Survivor Preparation

As I had mentioned, John Cena announced the participants for both the men’s and women’s Iron Survivor matches at NXT Deadline. Since last week was a stacked card, these competitors never got to address the fact that they are in the match.

For the men’s match, Cena announced that the stars who will be featured are Joe Hendry, Leon Slater, Je’Von Evans, Dion Lennox, and Myles Borne. And for the women’s match, it was announced that it will feature Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Kelani Jordan, Jordynne Grace, and Kendal Grey.

Now that the competitors have been announced, there may be tension between them in the upcoming episode of NXT. We will have to watch to see if they have anything to say.

What’s Next for Tatum Paxley?

So far, not too much has been announced for this upcoming episode of NXT. However, the audience has been left with many questions following the two weeks of NXT Gold Rush. One of the biggest questions is “Why did Izzi Dame attack Tatum Paxley?”

During Paxley’s match against Jacy Jayne at Halloween Havoc, we saw Izzi Dame enter the ring with the NXT Women’s Championship in hand, appearing like she was going to attack Paxley. Paxley ducked and Dame his Jacy Jayne, which aided Tatum Paxley in her victory against Jayne. Even though Dame’s actions were confusing, Dame and the rest of The Culling would celebrate Paxley and her victory.

However, at NXT Gold Rush, Dame’s true colors showed as she turned on Paxley, costing her the NXT Women’s Championship. We have yet to hear from either woman, but they have been posting on social media about their emotions regarding what occurred.

Match Card and Preview:

  • Iron Survivor Summit with Sol Ruca, Kelani Jordan, Lola Vice, Kendall Gray, and Jordynne Grace
  • Singles Match: Josh Briggs vs. Tavion Heights
