Scarlett Bordeaux Announced for First Singles Match in Over Two Years

When WWE signed Karrion ‘Killer’ Kross and his wife Scarlett Bordeaux, it’s fair to assume that most people probably thought Bordeaux would have been used as more than just a valet. But in her three years with the company, Bordeaux wrestled just two televised matches and just 13 matches overall. She wrestled exactly one singles match in that frame, taking on Lyra Valkyria at a house show in Ireland in 2023. Ironically, her only ever televised singles match in WWE came seven years earlier when she was chosen for the role of enhancement talent in a Nia Jax world-beater era squash match.

A near 15-year in-ring veteran, Bordeaux rose to prominence in Stardom in 2017, before making a name in both AAA and TNA Wrestling. It was there that she developed her smokeshow persona and showcased her talent against both the males and females on the roster, something she never got to really do in WWE.

In the ring, Scarlett Bordeaux was certainly not used to her potential in WWE though that is not to say her entire run was pointless. She made for a perfect valet to Kross, adding to his mystical aura. They were in many ways a package deal, which is why it wasn’t surprising when Bordeaux was announced to be accompanying her husband during his MLW match against Matt Riddle at the upcoming MLWxDon Gato event.

At the time, Scarlett Bordeaux teased she was in talks to wrestle for the company but not much was announced until Tuesday, when MLW revealed that Bordeaux would be wrestling her first singles match since 2023 and her first MLW match since 2022. Bordeaux is slated to face Isla Dawn, who earlier this year wrapped up her own WWE run. Dawn, who also debuted on Raw as enhancement talent in a squash by Asuka, returned to WWE as a member of the NXT UK roster in 2018. While never really a featured player until NXT UK’s end in 2022, Dawn was moved to NXT proper and shortly after, won her first main roster title, claiming the women’s tag team championship alongside Alba Fyre. The two won the titles twice between 2023 – 2025.

Scarlett Bordeaux and Isla Dawn never crossed paths in WWE and they never wrestled on the indies despite traveling in similar circles.
