DarkState Ruins X-Division Championship Match at TNA Bound For Glory 2025

In a shocking twist of events, DarkState attacked Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater as the TNA X-Division Championship match was reloaded for five more minutes at TNA Bound For Glory 2025. DarkState lost the NXT Tag Team titles on Tuesday at NXT Showdown, and they seek revenge on their former partner, Je’Von Evans.

Sadly, the slow pace of the match was making us think something was in the making. A TNA X-Division match means high-flying style, Lucha Libre, reaching crazy heights. Strangely, Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater took a long time to push themselves to the limits we know them. We saw more clotheslines and lariats than 450s and moonsaults for the first ten minutes of the match.

The 20-minute time limit was reached, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella decided to add five more minutes to the match. As the bout started to look like an X-Division match, the lights went down. DarkState arrived and attacked both wrestlers.  “This is awesome,” says the crowd before the match even starts. The Dream match turned into a nightmare.

The fans in attendance were as shocked as they were disgusted. After such a bitter end to the match, we’ll probably hear more about it on NXT this Tuesday and on iMPACT this Thursday. One thing is sure: Slater and Evans will seek revenge on DarkState. And mostly, the TNA fans deserve a real, proper, absolute X-Division match.

TNA’s Leon Slater and NXT’s Je’Von Evans are both 21 and considered the future of wrestling. Slater has become, in one year, the youngest in charge, the youngest main-eventer in the history of TNA, and the youngest X-Division Champion at Slammiversary 2025. Versatile, fun, and athletic, Je’Von Evans is seen as the future Kofi Kingston.
