The Path to TNA Bound For Glory may be raging on, but Victory Road is this Friday. On September 26, a new PLE takes place live from the Edmonton Centre in Edmonton, AB. The cards may be reshuffled, and we only have this TNA iMPACT episode to end up setting the stage for this.
Last night on NXT, TNA quite simply invaded the show when TNA Champion Trick Williams was facing NXT Champion Oba Femi in a Winner Takes All match. A “Total Non-Stop Anarchy” that will more than probably have some consequences on Victory Road and Bound For Glory. When it comes to this week’s iMPACT, you will hear about it, nothing more.
Usually, crossing the lines also means crossing the reviews. Victory Road or Bound For Glory may be TNA PLEs; taking a look at what happens on Tuesday nights or at WWE No Mercy this Saturday has become essential to understand what may happen on Thursday nights. That’s never been truer, and it’s going to become bigger and bigger.
Meanwhile, a major TNA title remains in the hands of an NXT talent. What remains terribly eNYGMAtic…

The Stakes at TNA Wrestling
Before their last showdown at Bound For Glory, The Hardys and Team 3D meet for The Final Negotiation. With decades of history and championship gold between them, what will happen when these iconic teams share the ring ahead of the biggest event of the year?
Last week, Frankie Kazarian made his International Title challenge official and targeted both Steve Maclin and returning TNA veteran Mr. Anderson. Now, just days before Victory Road, Kazarian and Something join forces to take on Maclin and Anderson in tag team action, marking Anderson’s first TNA match in over nine years.

The infamous Call Your Shot Gauntlet is a multi-person battle royal where the winner earns a championship match of their choosing, anytime, anywhere. Stars from across TNA Wrestling compete for the first spot in this year’s high-stakes showdown at Bound For Glory.

After The Rascalz celebrated Myron Reed’s X-Division title opportunity, Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel face the team of Cedric Alexander and reigning X-Division Champion Leon Slater. Can The Rascalz continue their momentum, or will Alexander and Slater score a crucial victory ahead of Slater’s defense at Victory Road?
Following their heated exchange on Mentor U, Jody Threat goes one-on-one with Victoria Crawford in the iMPACT! Zone. Who will make a statement heading into Victory Road?
Mike Santana comes face-to-face with his struggles and obstacles on his path to becoming the TNA World Champion. What’s his motivation to continue? What makes this time different? Join Santana on his path as he seeks out the answers within himself.

The Nygma’s View
As of this French Wednesday night, the Victory Road card has only four matches (Masha Slamovich won’t face Ash by Elegance for the TNA Knockouts Championship, due to Slamovich being accused of domestic violence and TNA investigating). The four matches and two segments announced for this week may provide another Victory Road bout, but the focus is already clearly on Bound For Glory.
Jody Threat faces Victoria Crawford. They had a heated exchange last week as Threat refused to have Crawford as a mentor. Crawford said Threat has no friends, which is untrue. Gia Miller insinuated herself into the segment and warned Tessa Blanchard, whose suspension is now lifted. Nygma says: It’s clear Blanchard comes back, and the match is more about that than Crawford and Threat.
Mike Santana is determined to become the TNA World Champion. His time seems to be now. For everything he has gone through, he honestly deserves it. Nygma says: Don’t try to preach to the converted. I saw him shine with Ortiz as LAX. His personal issues echo mine. Santana is my Champion. Yes, I believe in Boricua.
.@FrankieKazarian and @JakeSomething_ face @SteveMaclin and for the first time in a TNA ring since 2016 @mrkenanderson THURSDAY at 8/7c on @AXSTV, TNA+ and @Sportsnet 360.#TNAiMPACT pic.twitter.com/YdcA1oKP6J

Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel, The Rascalz, face Leon Slater and Cedric Alexander a day before the other Rascalz, Myron Reed, face Leon Slater for the X-Division Championship at Victory Road. This is the kind of match I love: great wrestlers, X-Division style, no heat around the match. Nygma says: Sometimes you just have to enjoy, not to overthink.
The Call Your Shot Gauntlet match is a Bound For Glory staple match. Twenty wrestlers and Knockouts are involved. Elimination is in the standard battle royal format. The last two competitors are squaring off in a regular singles match in which victory must be attained by pinfall or submission. The Call Your Shot winner receives a trophy and earns a future championship match to invoke in the year to come. Nygma says: That’s the first qualifier, so let’s stay calm on who will be in and will win.
The Final Negotiation between The Hardys and Team 3D goes down THIS THURSDAY at 8/7c on @AXSTV, TNA+, and @Sportsnet 360 ON #TNAiMPACT!@JEFFHARDYBRAND @MATTHARDYBRAND @TestifyDVon @bullyray5150 pic.twitter.com/4vnZDnYEVJ

At Slammiversary, Bully Ray came alone to ask the Hardys for One Last Match at Bound For Glory. This time, D-Von, Bully, Matt, and Jeff will all be in the iMPACT Zone, two weeks before the match. Nygma says: I’ve known and watched these four men for so long. Because their story was extreme, expect this negotiation to lead to an extreme stipulation at Bound For Glory.
Mr. Anderson is back in the iMPACT Zone after nine years. He teams up with TNA International Champion Steve Maclin against Frankie Kazarian and Jake Something. This match comes the day before Maclin faces Kazarian for the title at Victory Road. Nygma says: I would personally focus on what Jake Something will do. He has wanted the International belt for months, whoever wears it.
I’ll see you on Friday for TNA iMPACT! “After The Bell.” Tomorrow, I will preview Victory Road just for you. The PLE results and taping spoilers will also be on this week’s menu. Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
