On Sunday, August 24th, 2025, Mercedes Moné successfully defended her AEW TBS Championship in a Fatal Four-Way match at AEW: Forbidden Door 2025. She defeated Alex Windsor, Persephone, and Bozilla in a cross-promotional melee that saw spectacular showings from all four competitors.
Despite “9-Belts Moné” being the focal point of conversations coming out of the event, the match also served as a revelation for those who haven’t been regularly tuning in to Japanese wrestling—specifically, the outstanding performance by Bozilla.
If you’re not familiar with the young powerhouse, then let us help you get up to speed.

Second-Generation Superstar
Bozilla’s first match was at IPW Germany: Full Aggression in March 2022. She picked up a victory in a tag team match, where she teamed with her real-life father, Ulf Herman.
Herman, likely best known to United States-based wrestling fans for his brief work in ECW as a member of the Full Blooded Italians. He actually challenged Rob Van Dam for the ECW World Television Title on two separate occasions, losing at both attempts.
Arrival in Marigold
After just two years in the independent circuit, Bozilla arrived on the scene as a foreign competitor for Rossy Ogawa’s then-new promotion, Dream Star Fighting Marigold. She was involved in the promotion’s opening event (Fields Forever 2024), where she picked up a win alongside Sareee against Utami Hayashishita and Giulia.
International Excursion
Alongside her work in Marigold, Bozilla has been showcasing her talents in various international promotions. She’s had matches in Pro Wrestling NOAH, Stardom, Pro-Wrestling: EVE, and GCW since her debut, taking on some of the best that the world of professional wrestling has to offer.
She’s had fantastic matches against the likes of Nina Samuels, Megan Bayne, and even picked up some gold along the way, as she teamed with Tank to win the Marigold Twin Star Championships.
What’s Next?
After her appearance at AEW: Forbidden Door 2025, it has become clear that Bozilla is a talent that will only continue to improve over time. She will likely continue to be a regular feature on Stardom, but it’s hard to imagine that a major Western company won’t offer her a prominent role on their roster.
Tony Khan has gone on record stating that he knew he wanted Bozilla to represent Stardom at AEW: Forbidden Door 2025. During the pre-show media call, Khan had the following to say about her:
“I really like Bozilla… We wanted STARDOM participation, and Bozilla was my very first choice for somebody that I wanted in AEW, and she wasn’t available until this week, and just became available in recent days, and announced her participation, and I’m very excited about it. I also think for a European pay-per-view, having a European star like Bozilla, who’s a second-generation star, and has a great wrestling mind in addition to these great physical abilities, and is really growing into becoming an excellent wrestler. I really think Bozilla is a great talent and somebody that I wanted to have on the Forbidden Door show…”
It would make sense for her to appear on AEW programming in the near future. Given that she’s already proven that she can go toe-to-toe with the very best that AEW’s roster has to offer, why not come and kick the Forbidden Door down?
Whatever Bozilla ends up doing next, she’s definitely someone to keep an eye on. A stellar European talent that has the world at her feet.
