Major TNA Title Change at WWE NXT Heatwave

This Sunday night at WWE NXT Heatwave, Ash by Elegance defeated Masha Slamovich and NXT Women’s Champion and TNA Knockouts Champion Jacy Jayne, bringing the TNA Knockouts World title back to TNA Wrestling.

At WWE Heatwave, the intense rivalry between Jacy Jayne, Ash By Elegance, and Masha Slamovich boiled over as Jayne put the TNA Knockouts World Championship on the line in a Triple Threat Match.

Jayne was poised to continue her historic run as both the TNA Knockouts and NXT Women’s Champion, while Ash and Slamovich were both looking to bring the Knockouts World Title back home to TNA Wrestling. The tide began to turn when Jazmyn Nyx was caught delivering a cheap shot to Ash, prompting the referee to eject Fatal Influence from ringside.

Slamovich was down and out following the Rolling Encore from Jayne, but it was The Elegance Brand who pulled Jayne to the outside before she could secure the three count. Ash would capitalize, soaring with Rarified Air to pin Slamovich and become the new TNA Knockouts World Champion for the very first time.

A Controversial Win

We’ll hear about this match in this week’s NXT and TNA iMPACT event, for at least two reasons. The first is that the referee was not supposed to eject Fatal Influence from the ringside (when the Elegance Brand was allowed to stay). In a Three-Way match, anything can happen. No disqualifications, interferences, or countouts apply.

Also, with this win, Ash by Elegance brings the TNA Knockouts World Title home, something that made the TNA President Carlos Silva very happy. Meanwhile, NXT’s Trick Williams remains the TNA World Champion and won’t defend it on the iMPACT Zone until TNA Bound For Glory.

This TNA Knockouts World Championship reign is Ash by Elegance’s first since her TNA debut in February 2024. After Gail Kim and Madison Rayne, she is only the third Knockout in the history of TNA Wrestling to hold both the Knockouts World Title and the Knockouts Tag Team Championship.
