WWE SmackDown Card and Preview (8/29/25):

  • United States Championship Match: Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Sami Zayn
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair (c) vs. The Secret HERvice (Piper Niven & Alba Fyre)
  • Melo Don’t Miz vs. The Street Profits

Nothing But Opportunity

It’s only been a few weeks since The Miz and Carmelo Hayes reunited. However, they’ve already scored major wins over Fraxiom and the Motor City Machine Guns. Those wins were enough to convince Nick Aldis that Melo Don’t Miz deserves to have a shot at being the number one contenders for The Wyatt Sicks’ WWE Tag Team Championship.
That said, it won’t be an easy ride. Standing opposite Miz and Hayes will be The Street Profits, who also won their match last week on SmackDown against MFT. Since losing the titles, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have been grinding away to get back to the top of the mountain, and they will not let anyone stand in their way, not Miz, not Carmelo, no one.
Who will cash in and battle The Wyatt Sicks for the gold?

A Worthy Challenger

United States Champion Solo Sikoa has made it crystal clear that he’s not about to let go of the title anytime soon, flaunting his wins over Jacob Fatu and the fact that the MFTs have his back. Unfortunately for him, an old foe made his way to the Blue brand, specifically to the pry away the title he holds dearly.
Sami Zayn willingly signed with SmackDown with one goal in mind: to become United States Champion. Zayn stated that he might not be gunning for the Undisputed WWE or World Heavyweight Championships right now, because he recognizes that his calling is to dethrone Sikoa and win a championship he has never held.
In a tag match, Zayn pinned Sikoa, proving that he has his number. All that said, Sikoa will stop at nothing to remain U.S. Champion and to rid himself of Zayn after all these years.
It’s Zayn and Sikoa; United States Championship Match! Catch on the USA Network and Netflix!
