It’s Wednesday, AEW Dynamite time, and you know what that means? Last-minute graphic drops and teasers. Once again, thank you, Tony Khan, for dropping graphics for Dynamite hours after I dropped our speculative preview (which you can read here).

Gamble of the Evening: Trios Championship
Days after their grueling, bloody, and epic Texas Death match at Globe Life Field, having Hangman Adam Page and Jon Moxley clash again will seem to some… unnecessary. It’s not just the old heads who will shun the idea of not selling the brutality of the match. Many folks were prepared for something else: a fresh direction.
Don’t forget that displeasure and valid indifference towards the Death Riders recently evaporated. Part of the overarching reason is that some fans wanted Moxley and AEW to move away from wallowing in history. To get over the past and live in the now.
The Death Riders’ story isn’t over. The championship may be gone, but the decline—a central theme of the film that inspired the group, Romper Stomper—hasn’t played out.
This match, its outcome, and the potential angle/s that will play out will set expectations for Forbidden Door, All Out, and beyond. At All In, we witnessed the return of Darby Allin and Bryan Danielson. There’s a chance they, and others, may become involved in the new direction. Will Blood and Guts happen this summer?
There are a hundred different directions the AEW World Men’s Championship, the AEW Trios Championships, and the six men involved in this match can take. Some of those directions will be more crowd-pleasing than others. Some of us might fear repetition, or that the crest of AEW’s new peak reached its limit at All In.
Yet, stepping back and considering the creative run of form, expect crowd-pleasing. Expect several new directions. Expect The Feeling.
