WWE Evolution 2025 is only a few days away, and the wrestling world is starting to get excited. Gone are the days of women in wrestling being treated as just eye candy. Over the past decade, the WWE has gone to great lengths to give these women the exposure they deserve, and Sunday is another huge notch on that belt.

WWE had great success with their original Evolution PLE, and this Sunday will be another night of success for the company. The lineup of matches is one of the best that WWE has ever produced. There are five fantastic championship matches, one battle royal with all sorts of possibilities, and a No Holds Barred Match that could steal the show.
Evolution will be a highlight of 2025, and WWE has given us every reason to want to watch this show. Below are the best of those reasons.
The Women Of WWE Are Making History
The women of WWE have made leaps and bounds in the company, but as far as television and other PLEs go, they still have to share the spotlight with their male counterparts. This Sunday will be a showcase of their talent with no one else to share the spotlight.
Yes, there has been an Evolution PLE in the past, but anytime the women of WWE are given their own show, it’s a huge deal. They have worked their butts off to shake the stigma associated with female wrestlers, and they have succeeded. This Sunday is all about the sacrifice that they have made and the talent that they have.
Sunday will be a highlight of the year, and it’s all thanks to the incredible talent of every woman on the WWE roster. It’s not often a PLE like this happens, and we should all be lucky to have the chance to watch Evolution.
Three World Championship Matches That Will Be Dynamite
WWE is pulling out the big guns for Evolution. Every Women’s World Championship will be on the line Sunday, and all three have some great stories.
The frenemy angle between Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky has been great. It’s nice to see WWE use this match now instead of pulling the trigger at SummerSlam. Ripley and Sky are going to have a banger of a match. When they are in a ring, against one another, there are fireworks.
Tiffy Stratton and Trish Stratus are a dream matchup to some. There are many similarities between the two women, and it’s just plain nice to see Stratus in a title match. She has proven she can still go, and the pair could give us something special.
Also, it’s great seeing Jacy Jayne and Jordynne Grace get the NXT representation in. They are the next great wave of women coming to the main roster, and this exposure will be great for them. Expect the usual NXT greatness from two of the best on the roster.
Two Other Title Matches Featuring Some Greats
It’s not just the World Championships that will be getting some love this Sunday. The Women’s Intercontinental and Tag Team Championships will be defended in matches that could steal the show.
The triple threat match between Becky Lynch, Lyra Valkyria, and Bayley has a very high ceiling. Valkyria and Lynch have been crushing it this summer, and adding Bayley just brings everything up a notch.
Lynch and Bayley have the chemistry, and WWE has done a great job building animosity between Bayley and Valkyria. There should be no way that this match doesn’t hit at least 4.5/5 stars.
The Women’s Fatal Four Way match will be another fantastic championship match. All three brands are represented well, and there are plenty of women involved who are used to putting on match of the night candidates.
The Kabuki Warriors reuniting is great, and the pairing of Charlotte and Alexa Bliss is working right now. This should be a fun watch.
Jade Cargill And Naomi Could Get Nasty
We have been waiting for a match like this since Jade Cargill made her return at Elimination Chamber. Cargill and Naomi have been crushing it since it was revealed that Naomi was Cargill’s attacker.
They have had their physical encounters, but we have all waited for it to devolve into chaos. That will happen Sunday within the No Holds Barred gimmick.
This has been personal, and there’s no telling how far these two women will take it. The sky is the limit with what they can do to one another. Jade Cargill has been insatiable in her mission to take Naomi down.
Naomi herself has undergone a much-needed character change that has seen her become more vicious. These traits will lead to a violent No Holds Barred Match that should show us something new.
The WWE Evolution 2025 Battle Royal
Let’s face it, Battle Royals are always fun to watch. The sea of humanity that is in the ring and the air of unpredictability make the match a must-see. It’s always a great time watching a mass of wrestlers tearing into each other.
You don’t know where to look as the action is everywhere. No one can claim a Battle Royal was boring from an action standpoint.
This match also provides many interesting angles to look at. The winner getting a championship match increases the stakes for everyone involved. This could be the launching pad for a woman looking to cement herself on the roster.
There are also going to be some surprise entrants in the match. WWE will pull from the ranks and find some nostalgic stars to put into the contest. That’s going to get a great pop from the crowd and give a much-needed rub to the current stars in the match.
