“HOTlanta,” Georgia will be more on fire this weekend as WWE presents WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XL! A vintage event, for sure. That said, the action will be as new and as intense as ever. Now that you’re all set, we give the full WWE SNME card, a preview, and our predictions for some of the key matches that will transpire on this night. Without further ado, let’s run it down.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event (SNME) Card & Preview for July 12, 2025:
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Gunther (c) vs. Goldberg
- Randy Orton (w/ Jelly Roll) vs. Drew McIntyre
- LA Knight vs. Seth “Freakin'” Rollins
- United States Championship Match: Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jimmy Uso
The Viper’s Next Victim?
Drew McIntyre returned to WWE on last week’s WWE SmackDown, immediately making the worst enemy he could: Randy Orton. During the conversation between Orton and Cody Rhodes, Drew would interject, running down both the “American Nightmare” and “Apex Predator.”
Naturally, Orton would not take this interruption kindly, giving Drew a devastating RKO, effectively shutting him up and setting up this match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. On last night’s SmackDown, it escalated further, with McIntyre blindsiding Orton with a Claymore.
These two have a ton of history together, especially during McIntyre’s first run as WWE Champion. Orton ended McIntyre’s reign in 2020, and there’s no doubt Drew still harbors grudges from that era. It’s McIntyre versus Orton; a rivalry renewed for WWE’s most vintage night.
Prediction: Randy Orton
One. Final. Time.
Goldberg is set to have his final match in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, this Saturday night for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. While Goldberg isn’t a stranger to title matches, he surely hasn’t faced a man like Gunther. These two have been trading jabs since the latter part of last year, and it all came to a head at 2024’s Bad Blood PLE.
It took a long while, but the sleeping giant has finally awoken and is now ready to show Gunther why he was the top dog of WCW. That said, Gunther won’t go down easily. After regaining the WWE World Heavyweight Title from Jey Uso, Gunther has been on an absolute warpath, hellbent on keeping the title around his waist for a long time.
It’s a battle of the titans; Gunther, Goldberg, WWE World Heavyweight Championship match, something has got to give!
Prediction: Gunther
