LA Knight was out for revenge. Last week on SmackDown, Knight was the most recent superstar to find himself in the crosshairs of Seth Rollins and his lackeys. Knight was taken out by Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed backstage. Then on Saturday, Rollins pulled Knight off the ladder, just inches away from the briefcase, costing him a chance to win.
Knight didn’t seem to take any of that lightly as he made a surprise appearance on Raw in the middle of the first men’s King of the Ring qualifying match. Bron Breakker seemed to be dominating things and looked to even have the match won following a massive spear but Knight jumped the barricade and took down the former intercontinental champion. This gave Sami Zayn the opportunity to hit Dominik Mysterio with the Helluva Kick to secure his spot in the semifinals.
Knight’s actions directly impacted the match and more so, Rollins’ plans to win both world championships for his group. It seems unlikely the Architect is going to let that go without retaliation of his own. Prior to Knight’s actions, rumors began to swirl he could be headed for a feud with Rollins next and it seems after Monday, that is indeed the direction WWE is taking things.
