Sports. Honestly. Since 2011

How Far Will Be Too Far for WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce?

Since 2020, Adam Pearce has been tasked with handling the main roster in the WWE Official/General Manager role. He has to keep the wrestlers in order so that things don’t get out of hand. His job has gotten easier since 2023, when Nick Aldis was named General Manager of Friday Night SmackDown. Even though he only presides over Monday Night Raw, things still get out of hand.

He comes out whenever a wrestler is brutally attacking someone or causing damage. His presence is noticeable through his yelling, which helps to defuse the situation. The latest example was stopping Rusev’s attack on Otis after his match on the May 5, 2025 episode of Raw.

Adam Pearce is doing a good job as the Raw General Manager. However, if something extremely bad happens, will it be too much for him to handle, or will he take serious action?

Adam Pearce Could Walk Away

If you look at all the confrontations that he’s had with various wrestlers, you can conclude one obvious thing about Adam Pearce. He yells and gets angry during those moments, but that shows how important the job is to him. The suspensions and fines demonstrate how tough he is on talent. But his presence is only necessary when things need to be stopped.

He is exasperated from coming out nearly every week to prevent someone from getting hurt. If things start to get physical, he has a legitimate case to walk away.

For example, if Bronson Reed hits him with a tsunami, he could be out for months and feel like the job isn’t worth it anymore. Things haven’t escalated to that point in a while. But if Adam Pearce feels like he is in danger, he could understandably resign as Raw General Manager.

His Background as a Wrestler Could Help Him

Before signing with WWE, Adam Pearce had five separate runs as the NWA World Champion for 1078 days and had a good run in Ring of Honor.

Like Nick Aldis, he is very experienced in the ring and has a decorated career. Two guys who know what it’s like in the ring presiding over the WWE roster make sense. But a lot of fans are holding out hope that they will wrestle one last time. It’ll only happen if the story calls for it, though, and Aldis isn’t as hands-on as he is.

That’s why, if things go horribly wrong, it’ll make sense for him to face the person responsible in the ring. If WWE trusts Pat McAfee enough to face Gunther, then they’ll definitely feel the same for him. Adam Pearce can dish out his worst punishment by coming out of retirement and wrestling one last match.

Things Haven’t Gotten to That Point Yet

There have certainly been many times when Adam Pearce has been close to losing it. However, he hasn’t gone that far yet. Even though the job may be stressful, there has been no complaining or threatening to quit.

All things considered, he has been a good General Manager for Monday Night Raw. But at some point, something is bound to set him off. Whether he gets seriously hurt or a wrestler does something unforgivable to another wrestler, that will be the moment where he is seriously tested.

If fines and suspensions aren’t enough, what will he do in order to set things right? Will he choose to walk away, or will he lace up his boots one last time? Adam Pearce hasn’t been faced with that decision, but if it comes to that, it’ll be interesting to see what he’ll choose to do in that situation.
