Sidney Akeem Makes His TNA Debut at TNA Unbreakable

At TNA Unbreakable, Sidney Akeem (fka WWE’s Reggie) made his TNA debut when he replied to X-Division Champion Moose’s Open Challenge to the best high-flyer. Akeem had a strong showing and really impressed the TNA fans in Las Vegas.

Moose is set to defend the X-Division title at Rebellion on April 27 in an Ultimate-X Match. Matt Cardona, KC Navarro, Leon Slater, and El Hijo del Vikingo have already qualified for the match. There’s one spot remaining.

No news yet on whether Akeem signed a contract with the company, but he could definitely fill this remaining spot. The former Cirque du Soleil member spent four years in WWE and NXT.

After his release in May 2024, he has worked for many independent promotions, including GCW, WSW in Australia, The Crash in Mexico, and CanAm in Canada. He also had a match against Serpentico in Ring of Honor.

Moose hit the Go-To-Hell, but Akeem kicked out. Akeem hit a head scissors out of the corner, but Moose shut him down with a Uranage. Akeem sent Moose toppling over the top rope to the floor.

Moose hit a banging powerbomb on the apron. Moose got into an altercation with the UNLV Rebels hockey team, who were sitting ringside.

Akeem had Moose reeling after sending him into the steel ring post. Akeem had Moose beat with a cutter, but Alisha Edwards pulled the referee out of the ring. The referee ejected Alisha from the ringside, but the damage has been done. Moose hit a nutcracker (low blow in Nygma language) on Akeem, followed by the Spear to win.
