This will be the first time that the Money in the Bank PLE has been hosted in California and the show’s return to the United States after the previous two iterations have been in Canada and the United Kingdom.
WWE’s History in California
For those that aren’t familiar, the Intuit Dome also played host to the ground-breaking Netflix debut of Monday Night Raw (6/1/25). If the reports are to be believed, it will only be the second WWE show to take place from the arena, making for some big shoes to fill for the annual ladder extravaganza.
Also, the first-ever Money in the Bank ladder match took place in California at WWE WrestleMania 21. Therefore, on the 20th anniversary of the match’s conception, it returns to the state that it began in.
Potential Fan Disappointment
Despite the news not yet being confirmed by WWE, there has been some dissatisfaction among fans online. Due to the success of recent international shows – both weekly TV and PLEs – many WWE fans have been hoping for more worldwide ventures, as opposed to a focus on US-based events.
Plenty have been hoping that WWE Money in the Bank could be a regular fixture on the international calendar due to the buzz around the previous iterations mentioned above. However, bringing the briefcase back to its spiritual home will likely make for a noisy night.
Could the location for WWE Money in the Bank 2025 allude to potential winners?
The event allegedly taking place in LA has already generated fan theories about potential winners of the briefcases. LA Knight is the most obvious choice, given that he has adopted the city’s name. It could make for the perfect place to give the “Megastar” his moment, but we shall see.
What do you think about the reported location for WWE Money in the Bank 2025? Would you have preferred a different city (or perhaps even country) to play host? Let us know @LWOProWrestling.
