TNA iMPACT! Preview (2/27/25): Same Story, Not The Same Ring

TNA iMPACT! Preview (2/27/25): Same Story, Not The Same Ring

TNA Wrestling is on fire, and this TNA iMPACT preview proves what the show has in-store this week. On Tuesday, history was made when the TNA X-Division Championship was defended on NXT for the very first time. Moose put his title on the line against Lexis King after the two were involved in a verbal exchange last week. King put up a fight in his hometown of Cincinnati, but it was Moose who asserted his dominance to score the victory.

After the match, Moose was confronted by NXT Champion Oba Femi, who revealed that their highly-anticipated showdown had been made official by NXT General Manager Ava. Moose will challenge Femi for the NXT Championship on March 11th at NXT Roadblock.

Meanwhile, reigning TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys triumphantly returned to WWE with a victory over the No Quarter Catch Crew, while the NXT Tag Team Champions, Fraxiom, watched on. Following a war of words between The Hardys and Fraxiom over who the best tag team is in professional wrestling today, Director of Authority Santino Marella made this blockbuster match official. On March 11th at NXT Roadblock, The Hardys will defend the TNA World Tag Team Titles against Fraxiom.

Back to the Impact Zone, the war is meant to continue… Here is all you need to know about the February 27th episode of TNA iMPACT!

TNA iMPACT Preview & Card (2/27/25):

  • Mike Santana vs ???
  • Tessa Blanchard vs ??? (if she doesn’t compete, she’s fired)
  • The System (Brian Myers, Moose & Eddie Edwards) vs NXT’s Oba Femi & TNA Tag Team Champions The Hardys
  • Frankie Kazarian vs Ace Austin
  • TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Spitfire vs Ash & Heather By Elegance – Loser becomes Personal Concierge
  • Sami Callihan vs Mance Warner

The Stakes

In a high-stakes rematch, Spitfire defends their Knockouts World Tag Team Titles against Ash & Heather By Elegance. But there’s an added stipulation: if Spitfire wins, The Personal Concierge must serve them for 24 hours. If Ash & Heather win, Spitfire will be at their mercy.

With championship gold and humiliation on the line, who will emerge victorious on TNA iMPACT!?

After being called out by The Northern Armory, Steve Maclin is now focused on KC Navarro, who has the might of A.J. Francis in his corner. Will Maclin’s hard-hitting style overwhelm Navarro, or will Navarro’s speed give him the upset victory?

The dominant Mike Santana has been making waves since his return to TNA. After numerous run-ins with Mustafa Ali, Santana steps back into the ring this Thursday. But who will stand in his way?

After evading competition last week, Tessa Blanchard has no choice but to step into the ring this Thursday—or face termination. Who will Blanchard compete against, and will she prove that the Knockouts Division belongs to her?

The war between Mance Warner and Sami Callihan reaches a boiling point as they finally settle their differences in the ring. After weeks of chaotic brawls throughout the iMPACT! Zone, both men are out for blood. Will Warner secure the win, or will Callihan’s unpredictable and ruthless style prove too much to handle?

With Kazarian holding the Call Your Shot Trophy, every match is a statement. But Ace Austin is hungry to reclaim his spot at the top of the X-Division. A win for either man could shift momentum in a major way—will experience or youth prevail?

After NXT Champion Oba Femi evened the odds for Leon Slater last week, he now officially joins forces with TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys to take on The System. With the highly-anticipated NXT Title showdown between Femi and Moose looming at NXT Roadblock, will Femi and The Hardyz stand tall, or can The System once again prove that they run the show?

The Nygma’s View

It’s hard now not to think of TNA Wrestling without thinking of NXT. What happened on Tuesday night definitely is shaping what will happen in the Impact Zone two days after. Well, not every show, but a part of it.

With everything that happened last week, The System vs The Hardyz and Oba Femi will be a good match and a big mess. The Colons debuted last week and seem to be on The System’s side. The Colons attacked Joe Hendry who was saved by the newly signed Elijah.

The Hardyz befriended Leon Slater. Read my mind, it will be a 3 vs 3 match on paper but it could be a 10-person, why not 12, brawl in the end. I was about to add “possibly” but, sometimes, some things are utterly predictable.

The rest of the card is a bit harder to predict, and even understand. Tessa Blanchard has to compete or she’s fired. And Spitfire has to win or she becomes Personal Concierge of Ash and Heather by Elegance for 24 hours.

These are not the greatest matches and/or storylines the company has ever written for the Knockouts but we will deal with that, for the moment.

Frankie Kazarian has the Call Your Shot Trophy in hand but when will he cash it in? He is facing Ace Austin who is set to team up with The Rascalz against NXT’s Wes Lee and his sidekicks at Sacrifice. May they cost him the match?

Mike Santana, the man who made Josh Alexander say “I quit,” is back. Who will he face? Will the Northern Armory seek revenge? Meanwhile, Steve Maclin, the new target of Eric Young and the Northern Armory, will face off against KC Navarro, AJ Francis’ teammate. It’s pretty much a bag of crabs I am describing, does that mean it will turn into new alliances and good matches?

Finally, when it comes to Mance Warner and Sami Callihan, don’t expect them to have a “normal” match. They need a cage, a bunch of toys (I mean, hardcore toys), barbed wire… Whatever is lethal should be legal when it comes to these 2 maniacs.

We’ll see tomorrow if the Nygma’s crystal ball was right…
