Women On Show On WWE Raw
There’s been a lot of talk online about WWE not doing enough with its female talent. Although there is cause for this claim, this week’s WWE Raw reflects that things might not be as bad as many claim.
Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY will build towards next week’s Women’s World Championship. Lyra Valkyria defends her Women’s Intercontinental Championship for the first time. Valkyria narrowly missed out on making the women’s Elimination Chamber since she won her title on January 13.
She will be hoping to forge a legacy for herself and the newest WWE championship. She faces Dakota Kai, who missed out on holding the title when she lost to Valkyria in the tournament final.
Kai beat Ivy Nile in a number one contender’s match last week. Nile has been placed on an assignment to win the championship by Chad Gable before he returns from mastering the dark arts of lucha libre.
Jade Cargill Attack Gives Us Major Storyline For WrestleMania
Jade Cargill was found embedded in the hood of a car in November. She had seemingly fallen from Heaven, or been slammed there by a devious woman.
This left Bianca Belair without a partner as the Women’s Tag Team Champion. Naomi took over the role left vacant by Storm.
Recently, video footage emerged that showed Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez fleeing the scene of the crime. As a result, the four women meet for the gold this week.
The footage also showed Bayley arriving on the scene. While not new information, am I the only one wondering why Bayley was there in the first place?
Am I also the only one wondering if Naomi might be a suspect? She certainly has benefited from Cargill’s absence. Am I also the only one suspecting Bianca Belair could be responsible?
That’s a lot of women involved in a storyline that could give us plenty of twists and turns leading to Las Vegas and WrestleMania 41.
Everything Else
Logan Paul, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins are the three WWE Raw stars who will compete in the Elimination Chamber on Saturday for a shot at Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship. The three men will appear to try and hype up their chances. But the winner might have to sell their soul to The Rock if they really want to topple Rhodes.
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have had major beef with Rey Mysterio since he kicked them out of the locker room over their treatment of Big E. Mysterio’s LWO chums Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde get a rare match on WWE Raw as they defend the legendary luchador’s honor.
Pete Dunne and Ludwig Kaiser have been less than impressed by the super impressive new luchador Penta. A triple threat takes place.
