WWE SmackDown preview for February 28, 2025 blog banner featuring Trish Stratus, who'll be making an in-ring return at Elimination Chamber: Toronto before appearing on WWE SmackDown tonight for SmackDown results.

WWE SmackDown Preview (2/28/25) – Night Before Elimination Chamber: Toronto

This week’s WWE SmackDown is the final stop before Elimination Chamber: Toronto. Suffice it to say, the Canadian crowd is red-hot for the WWE this weekend, and it starts with a blazing fire of an episode of the Blue brand. We have a hometown girl competing on this night. Plus, a very intense title match. If you’re already excited, then let’s get right into it. Here’s a WWE SmackDown preview for February 28th, 2025.

WWE SmackDown Preview & Match Card (2/28/25):

  • WWE United States Championship Match: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. LA Knight
  • Chelsea Green vs. A Mystery Opponent

Hometown Cooking

Chelsea Green stormed into Nick Aldis’ office on the latest installment of SmackDown, questioning why she was not performing in her hometown on the Elimination Chamber: Toronto PLE. Aldis did see the irony and apologized for the oversight. The SmackDown General Manager promised that she would be performing in front of her home country, but it will be on this Friday night’s show.

Who will be the Women’s United States Champion’s opponent? Nobody knows yet. Regardless of who it will be, Chelsea Green has the opportunity of a lifetime to claim a win on home plate.

Will Chelsea Green rise to the occasion? Or will her “mystery opponent” one-up her in her grand return to Canada?

A Cold Confrontation

Things between Shinsuke Nakamura and LA Knight have reached a fever pitch. It all began when Nakamura came back to WWE and took the United States Championship from Knight. Ever since then, LA Knight has been on a revenge tour, trying to regain the championship he held so dearly and lost under dubious circumstances at Survivor Series 2024: WarGames.

On last week’s SmackDown, Shinsuke Nakamura fired off another shot at his challenger. During his tag team match with R-Truth versus The Miz and Carmelo Hayes, Nak gets involved, blindsiding Knight, who was just about to help his team pick up the victory.

One thing led to another, and Knight and Truth ended up dropping the bout to Melo Don’t Miz. This week, the stage is set for LA Knight to get back at Nakamura and get the U.S. Title back around his waist.

Will LA Knight be able to pull it off? Or will Shinsuke Nakamura notch another successful title defense? Let’s all find out a night before Elimination Chamber: Toronto, on WWE SmackDown, which you can watch live on the USA Network and Netflix!
