WWE SmackDown Results (2/21/25)

Live from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, WWE SmackDown comes to you hot and heavy. The story of this Friday night comes in the form of the surprising announcement that the “Final Boss,” The Rock, will be in attendance. This was a sudden turn of events, and the WWE Universe is not complaining one bit. There’s a lot more in store for everyone, so keep it here as we provide you all full  WWE SmackDown results for February 21, 2025.

WWE SmackDown Results (2/21/25):

The show kicked off with Drew McIntyre making his way to the ring as he looks to exact revenge on Jimmy Uso. Backstage, McIntyre egged on Jimmy, comparing him to his brother Jey, which agitated the former multiple-time WWE Tag Team Champion, leading the big Uce Superkicking Drew, leading to this match.

Drew McIntyre vs. Jimmy Uso

No surprises here, but these two exited the gate hot, with brawling in the ring that spilled over on the ringside. The action was fast and furious, and there was a huge turning point in this bout that saw McIntyre perform an Inverted Alabama Slam to Jimmy Uso on the steel ring steps.

In the latter stages of the match, Jimmy Uso got his bearings back. However, Drew McIntyre would match his energy. At the conclusion of this match, McIntyre would once again go for the Alabama Slam. But, Jimmy Uso would counter into a Victory Roll, securing the win. McIntyre was livid, proceeding to attack Jimmy after the match brutally.

Fortunately, WWE officials would arrive before he could hit a Claymore on Jimmy’s head against the steel ring post. But Drew McIntyre was not done and ran back to the ring to hit a devastating Claymore.

In the parking lot, we see Solo Sikoa arrive at the building, getting welcomed by Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu. He would apologize for last week’s mistake.

The Miz & Carmelo Hayes vs. R-Truth & ?

Earlier in the day, R-Truth informed “Melo Don’t Miz,” which is Carmelo Hayes and The Miz, of course, that they’ll have a tag team match against him and a “Louisiana Legend.” Truth would introduce his partner, “Louisiana Knight,” which is LA Knight. Wade Barrett, on commentary, would eloquently point out that “LA” refers to Knight moving to Los Angeles, but it’s classic R-Truth, and he’s a national treasure.

The match started comedically, but it soon picked up in a huge way. When LA Knight and R-Truth were heating up, United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura would blindside Knight with a devastating attack, leaving R-Truth for the picking. The Miz and Hayes would hit R-Truth with a Skull Crushing Finale and First 48 combo to pick up their first win as a tag team.

Next, we have WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton taking on Candice LeRae.

Tiffany Stratton vs. Candice LeRae

Before this non-title match started, Stratton would go on the mic stating that she was ready for Elimination Chamber and most certainly ready for WrestleMania 41. She then directly addressed her opponent for ‘Mania, Charlotte Flair, making it crystal clear that she’s not going for Flair’s legacy; she’s there to take her spot as the “top girl in WWE.”

Jax and LeRae would enter the fray, stating that Tiffany Stratton won’t even make it to WrestleMania after they’re done with her. Nia and Candice hit the ring, looking to lay the beatdown on the champion before the WWE official intervened.

The match started, and Candice LeRae was in control for most of the bout during the commercial break. Stratton would bounce back with a Springboard Arm Drag, effectively turning the tides. Charlotte Flair’s music would hit as she joined the WWE SmackDown commentary team. With Jax and Flair at ringside, Stratton has the decks stacked even more against her.

Fortunately, Tiffany Stratton is the WWE Women’s Champion for a reason. Stratton would take control in the closing moments of the contest. Despite Jax’s constant interference, Tiffany Stratton would rise to the occasion. After taking out Nia Jax on the outside and staring down Charlotte Flair, Stratton would hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the pinfall victory.

Unfortunately, Jax had other plans and blindsided Stratton after the match. Trish Stratus would hit the ring to make the save for the second week in a row. But much like last week, Jax and LeRae would get the best of them. Nia would hit stack up Stratton and Stratus for a Double Annihilator.

Flair would once again stand over Stratton, gesturing at the WrestleMania sign.

Naomi vs. Liv Morgan

Women’s Elimination Chamber opponents Liv Morgan and Naomi, accompanied by her WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion partner Bianca Belair, go one-on-one, only eight days away from Elimination Chamber: Toronto. The scheduled match between Morgan and Naomi would not go ahead, as the former and Raquel Rodriguez laid waste to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The Rock Has Come Home

We see The Rock pull up in his signature vehicle as we go to the commercial. The Rock speaks to the WWE Universe next. First, he made the venue for WrestleMania 42 official. Not long after this, The Rock would call out Cody Rhodes to the ring. Long story short, The Rock wants Cody Rhodes to follow after his lead, and he can make big things happen for the Undisputed WWE Champion if he chooses to side with the TKO Holdings head honcho.

The Rock expects an answer from him at Elimination Chamber: Toronto.

#DIY vs. Pretty Deadly

The WWE Tag Team Championship match between Pretty Deadly and #DIY started hectic, with Elton Prince and Kit Wilson handing out some beatings as they made their entrance, and their theme continued to play in the background. It was a very fast-paced championship match.

Just as Pretty Deadly was going in for the kill, The Street Profits would cause a no-contest, destroying the champions and challengers. The Motor City Machine Guns would hit the ring, but they, too, would be overwhelmed by Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford. In no time at all, the Profits laid waste to the SmackDown Tag Team Division.

Jacob Fatu & Solo Sikoa vs. Damian Priest & Braun Strowman

For the main event of this exciting WWE SmackDown results, Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa fight the team of Damian Priest and Braun Strowman. Solo Sikoa’s first match since losing Tribal Combat was a physical one. Sikoa and Jacob Fatu were like mad trucks, relentlessly going blow for blow with Damian Priest and Braun Strowman.

Fatu and Sikoa once again had a major miscommunication that led to them losing this match. Jacob would accidentally Superkick Solo Sikoa, leading to Priest capitalizing on the mistake, hitting Fatu with the South of Heaven Chokeslam to gain the W for his team.
That concludes the WWE SmackDown results for February 21, 2025.
