WWE NXT Results (1/14/25)

The January 14 edition of WWE NXT saw the brand return to the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida. This show served as the fallout to New Year’s Evil, which was an action-packed special show. The NXT results for this week can be found here when the show goes live at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT on the CW Network.

This show had three matches confirmed, and two other promo segments confirmed. One of the main questions heading into the show was what’s next for Corey Graves? Perhaps the answer was revealed during the show (or maybe not!)

Below are the full results from the January 14 edition of NXT.

WWE NXT Results (1/14/25)

Oba Femi addresses the NXT Universe as NXT Champion

  • NXT Champion Oba Femi opened with a confident promo, declaring his victory as destiny fulfilled. Tony D’Angelo interrupted, reminding Femi of his past win over him. Ridge Holland attacked D’Angelo, leading to a brawl outside the ring. Meanwhile, Eddy Thorpe ambushed Femi and ended the segment holding the title aloft.

Dante Chen and Ethan Page Backstage Segment

  • Dante Chen called Ethan Page out for his recent antics, with the latter chalking it up to jealousy. Before things get physical between them, the other Superstars step in. Chen seems determined to get an official match with Page and storms off.

Stephanie Vaquer vs. Shotzi [NXT Women’s North American Championship #1 Contenders Match]

  • Stephanie Vaquer and Shotzi entered the ring for a competitive, evenly-matched bout after an ad break. Jacy Jayne interfered late in the match but was countered by simultaneous headbutts from Vaquer and Shotzi. Shortly after, Fallon Henley attacked Vaquer, disrupting the match’s flow. Despite her reluctance about the circumstances, Shotzi emerged as the number one contender for Henley’s NXT Women’s North American Championship.

Kelani Jordan and Cora Jade Backstage Segment

  • Kelani Jordan was receiving a pep talk from Zaria backstage when Cora Jade decided to pipe in. After being triggered by Jade’s comments about her being “the same girl,” Jordan delivers a slap to Jade before storming off.

Stephanie Vaquer Searches For Fatal Influence

  • Stephanie Vaquer is angry, following the loss of her title shot. So, she is seeking Fatal Influence but, for the most part, they seem to have scattered. They should keep running because Vaquer is not happy at all.

Oba Femi Has A Chat With Ava

  • Backstage, Oba Femi is also angry. He is in the office of NXT General Manager, Ava. Femi is saying that, if Thorpe wants a title shot, he is ready to give it to him. Ava is not on-board, refusing to reward bad behaviour. Well, Robert Stone (being an innocent bystander) gets caught in the wrath of the NXT Champion when he tries to chime in. With a bit of aggression, Ava agrees to let Femi have a go at Thorpe.

Ethan Page vs. Dante Chen

  • Chen faced Page after being attacked during his entrance, with both wrestlers giving it their all. Despite the effort, Page won the short match and attacked Chen post-match, trapping him with steel steps. Officials intervened, but Je’Von Evans arrived to help, only for Page to overpower him as well and aggravate his injury.

So Much Is Happening Backstage!

  • Femi is walking and Dion Lennox tries to warn him that he will soon be the one challenging for the NXT Champion. Femi rolls his eyes and walks away.
  • Shawn Spears is instigating! Okay, no, he was talking to Adrianna Rizzo before Izzi Dame rescued her.
  • Ashante Thee Adonis gave Karmen Petrovic a red rose, and they shared a kiss!

WWE Tag Team Champions #DIY In The Building!

  • NXT vets and current WWE Tag Team Champions #DIY are in the building! According to Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, they are here for Fraxiom! So, they will probably be watching that NXT Tag Team Championship match closely.

Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend vs. The Unholy Union [Women’s Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Match]

  • Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend faced Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn in a fast-paced, action-packed match. Meta-Four’s teamwork shone as they isolated their opponents at key moments. Unholy Union fought back to shift momentum but couldn’t secure the win. Jackson and Legend triumphed, becoming the new number one contenders for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles.

Lexis King Gets His NXT Heritage Cup Nameplate

  • Backstage, Lexis King is getting his nameplates on the NXT Heritage Cup, with Ava overseeing the process and congratulating him. Former champion Charlie Dempsey appears with Wren Sinclair, offering his congratulations. Sinclair protests and suggests a rematch, to which Ava agrees.
  • Ridge Holland and Tony D’Angelo are brawling in the parking lot.

Kelani Jordan vs. Cora Jade

  • TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich observed from ringside ahead of her match at Genesis. Jordan and Jade clashed aggressively, showing clear animosity. Jade secured the victory using underhanded tactics, fueling their heated rivalry. This is definitely only the beginning of their feud.

Hank & Tank Go At It With OTM

  • Sheesh, the backstage area has been active tonight! Hank Walker and Tank Ledger are trying to convince Nathan Frazer and Axiom that they deserve a title shot but OTM gets ahead of that. The two teams get into it.

Nathan Frazer & Axiom (c) vs. OTM [NXT Tag Team Championship Match]

  • Coming off of their backstage brawl, OTM is pissed. With Fraxiom’s entrance done, the action quickly gets underway. As promised, #DIY is watching the action closely. The action is a blend of OTM’s hard-hitting relentless aggression and Fraxiom’s undeniable chemistry and speed. Fraxiom retains and will continue their reign.

Roxanne Perez Addresses Her Future

  • Former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez came to the ring, and she initially started off quite somber. But that quickly changed, and she spoke of how the division won’t survive without her at the helm. SmackDown Superstar Bayley came out to pass some wisdom but Perez was not here for it. After a heated exchange, the two had a brawl to close out the show.
