This week’s WWE SmackDown marks the final stop before this weekend’s special event, Saturday Night’s Main Event. In the last month of 2024, WWE is still pulling out the stops to ensure that the WWE Universe is well-fed with the best professional wrestling and sports entertainment offered this side of the business.
WWE Friday Night SmackDown has a lot in store for its week-ending show, the night before Saturday Night’s Main Event, so let’s get right into it. Here’s a full preview of the latest installment of WWE SmackDown. Let’s run it down.
Full Announced Segments for WWE SmackDown:
- WWE Women’s United States Title Tournament – Semifinals: Michin vs. Tiffany Stratton
- WWE Women’s United States Title Tournament – Semifinals: Bayley vs. Chelsea Green
- Carmelo Hayes vs. ?
Game Time
Carmelo Hayes has been ballin’ since he debuted on WWE SmackDown earlier in the year through the WWE Draft. While he’s been amazing, Melo feels like SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis still needs to give him his due diligence on Friday nights.
The lobbying worked on this past SmackDown. Aldis is finally giving Melo the spotlight that he deserves, and it starts next week when the former NXT Champion goes one-on-one with “WWE SmackDown’s newest acquisition.”
One night from Saturday Night’s Main Event, and Nick Aldis still has surprises up his sleeve.
Who could it be, and can Hayes pull off the win with no time to scout?
Friday Night (Semi)Finals
Saturday Night’s Main Event will be the stage where the WWE Universe crowns the first-ever Women’s United States Champion. But before all that, we need to determine the last two competitors who will advance to the finals.
The last four remaining women, Chelsea Green, Bayley, Michin, and Tiffany Stratton, have all fought valiantly in this over-month-long tournament. It’s definitely hard to call who’ll advance this Saturday.
On one side, you have two former world champions in Stratton and Bayley. On the other hand, there are two superstars, Michin and Green, who are scratching and crawling to make an impact in WWE, and winning could be the very thing that elevates their careers to new heights.
Two spots in the finals, four women in the semis; who will advance to the finals at Saturday Night’s Main Event and have the chance to be crowned the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion?
Let’s all find out this Friday night in the Saturday Night’s Main Event “go-home” edition of WWE SmackDown, which you can catch only on the USA Network!
