This Friday night’s WWE SmackDown will be the last destination before this Saturday’s Survivor Series: WarGames 2024.
Some people expect this to be a routine show on the way to Vancouver PLE. However, as the card and WWE Universe would tell you, it’s one final jumping-off point for WWE to kick it into high gear and set everything up for this monumental yearly Thanksgiving Tradition.
We’re excited, you’re excited, so let’s put the pedal to the metal. Here is a preview of the Survivor Series “go-home” edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Let’s run it down.
Announced for WWE SmackDown:
- Cody Rhodes vs. Carmelo Hayes
- Women’s United States Championship Tournament – 1st Round: ? vs. Michin vs. Piper Niven
Mystery Challenger
Piper Niven is looking to join her friend and tag team partner, Chelsea Green, in the second round of this Women’s United States Championship tournament. She will face off against a very hungry and motivated Michin and a mystery opponent.
There are few spots left, and everyone in this tournament is looking to be one step closer to becoming the inaugural champion.
While Michin is a battle-hardened veteran and Niven is a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, their mystery dance partner will definitely have the advantage, with the element of surprise on her side.
Who will join Michin and Piper Niven in this Three-Way Dance? More importantly, who comes out on top?
Testing the Champ
Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens had quite a heated exchange on last week’s WWE SmackDown. K.O. felt betrayed that Rhodes would even consider going to bat for Roman Reigns, essentially the man who tried to end his career multiple times.
It’s crazy to think that these two were as thick as thieves not too long ago, and now, they want to tear each other apart like they never even knew each other. A man who feels like Kevin Owens’ actions were justified was Carmelo Hayes.
Backstage, Hayes explicitly clarified that he understood why Kevin did it and urged Cody to “reevaluate his choice of friends.” The two got into it in the back, setting up this match for Friday night.
If anyone needs a reminder, Carmelo Hayes took Cody Rhodes to the limit in his debut match for WWE Friday Night SmackDown at this year’s WWE Draft. We all know what these men can do, and now, considering what was said between the two, you better that they will try to batter each other come Friday night.
Let’s see the Survivor Series “go-home” edition of WWE SmackDown unfold this Friday night! Catch it only on the USA Network!
