The latest installment of WWE SmackDown will be the final exciting roadblock between the WWE Universe and the returning and beloved WWE Bad Blood PLE. WWE Friday Night SmackDown will air live from the “Music City” Nashville, Tennessee, and it’s sure to exhilarate and amaze fans with a fully loaded card.

Let’s get the party started with a weekend full of premier WWE sports entertainment and professional wrestling. Here’s a preview of this week’s SmackDown. Let’s run it down.

Announced for WWE SmackDown:

  • AJ Styles Returns to WWE SmackDown
  • WWE Tag Team Championship Match – Triple Threat Ladder: The Bloodline (c) vs. #DIY vs. The Street Profits
  • Dumpster Match: Michin vs. Chelsea Green

A Phenomenal Comeback

It’s been nearly four months since the “Phenomenal” AJ Styles was seen in a WWE ring. We last witnessed Styles’ greatness when he took Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to the limit at WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland. Unfortunately, AJ did not walk out of that event with the gold intact.

After a long hiatus and, presumably, time to regroup, AJ Styles is now back to reclaim the house that he helped build, and he’s going to do in the city that welcomed him with open arms early in his career, effectively christening him as “their guy.”

What will the next move be for the former WWE Champion? Better yet, who will his first move be against?

Pandemonium in the Music City

As announced by WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis on X, the WWE Tag Team Championships will be on the line as Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa defend this Friday night.

However, it won’t be just against one team, and it won’t even be in a traditional tag team affair. The titles will literally be up for grabs in a unique and thrilling Triple Threat Ladder Match.

WWE is no stranger to the triangle ladder match, with fans more than likely remembering the wars between The Dudley BoyzThe Hardy Boyz, and Edge and Christian.

This match between The Bloodline#DIY, and The Street Profits is not just a match; it’s a continuation of a legacy of intense competition and history.

These three teams have been going to battle over the prestigious titles for a couple of months now.

The Bloodline cut the reign of #DIY short, and The Street Profits were the final team to be eliminated in a Tag Team Gauntlet Match that allowed Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga to secure the number one contender slot that led to them prying it away from Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano.

Chock-full of history is quite the understatement when you consider the duos that will fight over the title of the top team on WWE SmackDown. Who will be standing atop the tag team division once the dust settles?

Find out this Friday night on WWE Friday Night SmackDown’s newest home, the USA Network!
