This week’s episode of WWE NXT will be the second week of the CW Premiere. The show follows up the first week, which took place in Chicago, Illinois.
This time, the NXT crew heads over to The Factory At The District in Chesterfield, Missouri. Once more, there is a stacked NXT show in place.
This is especially true as the now-infamous Wednesday night wars will be reignited on Tuesday. This is because AEW Dynamite will be having a special Title Tuesday edition this week also.
Stacking the NXT on CW Premiere and now a Tuesday night war, the show can be expected to be loaded. Here is all you need to know ahead of the October 8 NXT.
WWE NXT Full Card:
- Singles Match: Randy Orton vs. Je’Von Evans
- Six-Woman Tag Team Match: Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill & Kelani Jordan vs. Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx)
- NXT North American Championship Match: Oba Femi (c) vs. Tony D’Angelo
- NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Axiom & Nathan Frazer (c) vs. A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller)
Je’Von Evans Gets To Clash With Randy Orton On NXT
2024 has been the year of Je’Von Evans and, on week two of the CW Premiere, he gets a major chance. Evans will get the chance to face off against Missouri’s own Randy Orton.
Orton is already a legend, having held the WWE Championship 14 times in his career. This match between Evans and Orton will bring together a clash of styles and eras.
Many already have Evans pegged as the future of NXT, and this is his chance to show it. This is certainly the match to watch as NXT wraps up its premiere on the CW Network.
Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill & Kelani Jordan Tag Up Against Fatal Influence
NXT Women’s North American Champion, Kelani Jordan, has been dealing with the problem of Fatal Influence for a while now. Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx have been terrorizing the NXT women’s division, and Jordan has been the center of it all – but she now has backup.
On week one of the CW Premiere, Jordan received assistance from the reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. Together, the team of Belair, Cargill, and Jordan is a formidable one, and they could finally thwart Fatal Influence.
Belair and Cargill will have to keep their heads on a swivel though as Meta-Four‘s Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson have made it clear that they want all the smoke. Regardless, with a little assistance from Belair and Cargill, this could be Jordan’s time to prove her superiority in the women’s division.
Oba Femi Defends Gold Against Tony D’Angelo
Oba Femi is officially the longest-reigning NXT North American Champion, having surpassed Wes Lee‘s 269-day reign. On the NXT on CW Premiere week two, Femi defends the gold against Tony D’Angelo.
Thus far, D’Angelo has held the NXT Heritage Cup and the NXT Tag Team Championship (twice). D’Angelo will certainly be looking to add the NXT North American Championship to that list but Femi is quite a great challenge to overcome.
Femi has had a stronghold over the NXT North American Championship, and that is with good reason. Thus far, many have tried and failed to dethrone Femi but can D’Angelo pull off an upset?
