After months of speculation, TNA Wrestling legends the Motor City Machine Guns are on their way to WWE—at least, that’s what the MCMG vignettes on WWE SmackDown suggest.
While the promotion has yet to officially name-drop the team, if teasers are to go by, with all the Detroit, automotive, firearm shots, and MCMG iconography involved, they will be making their way to WWE SmackDown.
“You have a match against a team, a very special team, a team that I hand selected just for you.” – Nick Aldis to Los Garza

MCMG will most likely be the team that SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has up his sleeve to fight Los Garza.
This is definitely a great deal for arguably North America’s top promotion.

For the better part of two decades, MCMG has consistently been one of the most entertaining tag teams in the business.
They’re a very decorated team, winning the TNA Tag Team Championship three times, as well as 11 X Division and two TNA World Championships in between Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. It’s a very exciting time to be a Tag Team Wrestling fan.
There are a ton of teams Shelley and Sabin could face off with, namely, The New Day, Street Profits, Fraxiom, Pretty Deadly, #DIY, and even potentially The Usos. These are just some dream matches out of a possible couple of dozen the Motor City Machine Guns could be embroiled in.
It’s not only tag team bouts too. As mentioned, Sabin and Shelley are accomplished singles competitors as well, opening up a ton of other avenues as far as contests go in WWE.
With the legendary duo more than likely heading to WWE Friday Night SmackDown, the Motor City Machine Guns are sure to provide value in and out of the ring due to their talent and wealth of experience.
