Match Card – WWE Raw (9/2/24)

  • Intercontinental Championship No.1 Contender Tournament: Sheamus vs. “Big” Bronson Reed vs. Ludwig Kaiser
  • Intercontinental Championship No.1 Contender Tournament: Ilja Dragunov vs. Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio
  • Zelena Vega vs. Shayna Baszler

Intercontinental Tournament Matches

Six men will vie to make it through to the next round of the WWE Intercontinental Championship tournament.

Two triple threat matches will give us two winners. They will meet Jey Uso or Pete Dunne in the quarterfinals. A shot at Bron Breakker’s title is the ultimate prize.

Sheamus faces tough competition in Bronson Reed and Ludwig Kaiser who both have shown disdain for the seasoned Irishman. Reed has a tonne of momentum behind him at the moment, and looks the heavy favorite to go all the way to the final.

Kaiser is in the form of his career having really turned on the style during his recent tour of his native Germany.

Dominik Mysterio will want to gain a victory after his humbling loss at Bash In Berlin. Dragon Lee has struggled for TV time recently so will want to go as far as he can in the tournament. It’s hard to see past Ilja Dragunov winning this match though.

Finally, in a division dominated by factions, Zelena Vega is battling on her own. She faces Shayna Baszler who will have the numbers advantage with Zoey Stark and Sonya Deville lurking.
