Preview: WWE Raw (8/12/24) – IC Title 2 Out Of 3 Falls

Bron Breakker defends his Intercontinental Championship for the first time, while Randy Orton comes to WWE Raw to try and intimidate World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.

Gunther defends his newly won championship against Orton at Bash In Berlin.

WWE Raw is back on the USA Network this week. The show airs at 8PM ET from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.

Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker both hold wins against the other in Intercontinental Championship matches. Unfortunately for Zayn, Breakker’s win was the most recent. This means he heads into WWE Raw with the title around his waist.

On his day, you’d be a fool to bet against Zayn. But having to beat Breakker twice in one match seems too big a task for anyone.

Zayn was talked into demanding this match by Jey Uso. Perhaps it’s time for Uso to consider holding the championship himself. Watch this space.

Everything Is Bigger In Texas

There’s a lot more happening on WWE Raw. Rhea Ripley will open the show. Her “Terror Twins” twin Damian Priest looks to begin beating remorse into the entirety of “The Judgement Day”. He starts with Carlito this week.

Last week, Odyssey Jones made his surprise debut. Jones provided some big backup for Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston against “The Final Testament”. Even Woods seemed surprised by Jones seemingly joining the “New Day”.

“Big O” makes his in-ring debut. Watch out because this could all lead to Woods actually stepping out on his own.

Tag Team Action

IYO SKY reminded Sonya Deville of “Damage CTRL’s” dominance last week when she beat her one-on-one.

This week, SKY teams up with Kairi Sane to take on the rest of Deville’s new faction Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark.

There’s more than bragging rights at stake. The winning team gets a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship held by the “Unholy Union”.

Meanwhile, Otis and Akira Tozawa get another crack at The Creed Brothers. Chad Gable is bound to accompany The Creed Brothers to the ring. “The Wyatt Sicks” might pop out to say hello.
