Wes Lee Moves Into NXT Championship Scene
Former NXT North American Champion, Wes Lee, is ready to leave that gold in his rearview and move on. On last week’s NXT, Lee got into a confrontation with Carmelo Hayes. With Hayes holding the NXT championship, there is no doubt that the title will play a role in the feud between the two. The NXT Champion does not have to wait long for his next challenger as Lee looks to return to holding NXT gold.
The two are sure to continue building up their rivalry over the weeks before they eventually clash in the ring, and this is a journey that could be fueled by the pair’s hunger for success.
Ilja Dragunov Looks To Settle The Score With Trick Williams
Ilja Dragunov has set his sights on exacting revenge on Trick Williams, who Dragunov believes cost him his title shot at the Great American Bash. Last week, Williams and Hayes had a heartfelt moment where the two agreed on an amicable separation. It seems that Williams will be going up against Dragunov as he comes to the forefront and begins his solo journey. Williams and Dragunov will have a confrontation, which might get physical, all in the lead-up to a match down the line.
Dominik Mysterio Takes On Dragon Lee
Dominik Mysterio has quite the challenger for his NXT North American championship this week. Dragon Lee will serve as the next challenger for ‘Dirty Dom’, in what could be the young champion’s biggest threat to his reign. This time, Mysterio’s advantage in the form of Rhea Ripley will be neutralized as Lee will have his own backup. The legend that is Rey Mysterio will be in Dragon Lee’s corner, much to the dismay of his son.
This is set to be an exciting match as the playing field is leveled, and Dominik has to deal with the looming threat of his father being ringside.
Heritage Cup On The Line
Noam Dar will go up against Tyler Bate in a battle for “Noam’s Heritage Cup”. This promises to be a hard-hitting affair, as the two are some of the best wrestlers on the WWE NXT brand. The Heritage Cup might be secondary to the war that these two plan on putting on display on Tuesday evening.
A Second-Generation Battle
Bron Breakker and Von Wagner will meet in the ring once again. Both Breakker and Wagner are second-generation wrestlers, which ups the ante of the match. With no titles on the line, this is set to just be an all-out brawl between the two wrestlers, which will make for a very exciting watch for fans.
Battle For North American Championship Contendership
Mustafa Ali and Axiom both have their sights set on the North American championship around Dominik Mysterio’s waist. To get to the champion, the two need to eliminate the other and clinch the number one contender spot. Ali unsuccessfully challenged for the gold at the Great American Bash but Axiom is looking to challenge Mysterio for the first time, and they will meet for the chance to go up against Mysterio.
