Ousting The Outcasts

Two weeks ago, we saw the surprising return of former record-breaking AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida. She made her comeback after the bout between the victorious Jamie Hayter and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., against Toni Storm and Ruby Soho. The latter was less than happy after the defeat, proceeding to beat down the current Women’s Champion and “The Doctor.”

For a monumental second, nobody knew where Shida’s allegiance lay. Hikaru had every right to choose one over the other, considering she has had tumultuous relationships with both Baker and Storm. However, she made it crystal clear real fast when she chased off the pack of wolves known as The Outcasts, siding with the AEW Originals.

The Outcasts did not find that amusing one bit, and this Wednesday night, these two warring factions will look to settle the score once and for all in a Trios Match. Will Shida prove to be a difference-maker for Hayter and Baker? Or will The Outcasts take down three of the promotion’s best all in one fell swoop?

Facing Strong Opposition

This week’s Dynamite saw Chris Jericho sink to a new low, playing the victim as he employed a legal team to ban Adam Cole from the venues where AEW shows are held for an unspecified amount of time. Jericho did this in retaliation due to Cole absolutely battering him from the commentary desk to the parking lot on the last episode of Dynamite. Unfortunately for Chris, Roderick Strong has Cole’s back.

The “Messiah of the Backbreaker” wants to beat the ever-living daylights out of “The Ocho” on behalf of Adam Cole, challenging him to a Falls Count Anywhere affair. Jericho didn’t even hesitate and accepted, stating that nobody can help Roderick, while he has the Jericho Appreciation Society waiting in the wings to play the number games. Strong anticipated this and secured legal counsel of his own to ban the J.A.S. from the building as well.

With an even playing field, how will Chris Jericho pull off the victory against a mightily ticked-off Roderick Strong? Tune into this Wednesday night for a raging AEW Dynamite card, only on TBS!
