The Rock may have once sung about leaving Sacramento, but All Elite Wrestling (AEW) isn’t listening. It’s Friday night. And you know what that means. It’s AEW Rampage, as they continue their foray in northern California for one more TV show with tonight’s taped edition from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. The venue opened in 2016 and right away, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) came calling as they hosted their No Mercy Smackdown Pay-Per-View here. Due to the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton that night, WWE opted to open the event with their WWE Championship match. AJ Styles defeating John Cena and Dean Ambrose (now Jon Moxley) to retain. The match that closed the show was the first meeting between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt. It was a normal match. No maggots projected over the ring. No giant boxes with Alexa Bliss dripping used oil or such. Let’s see what the AEW Rampage card has in store tonight.

It’s STILL Going

Perhaps Ricky Starks is moving on from Chris Jericho. But he wasn’t the only one involved in that story facing off against the Jericho Appreciation Society. Action Andretti sees action on Rampage, as he goes one on one with Sammy Guevara. A rematch from a couple of weeks ago where Guevara won thanks to Daniel Garcia’s aid. Will the result be different this time? Will Daniel Garcia once again play a factor? Let’s see.

A Rematch From Way Back

At the start of AEW Dynamite, on their debut, RIHO and Nyla Rose faced off. They fought to be AEW’s first Women’s World Champion. RIHO won that match. Sometime later, she and Nyla Rose had a rematch where Nyla was able to win and become the second AEW Women’s World Champion. The two are set to clash yet again tonight. Reviving the oldest women’s feud in AEW.

No Pasa Nada, Perros

Preston Vance of La Facción Ingobernable is set to take on the always impressive Konosuke Takeshita. It’s without a doubt a great chance for Konosuke Takeshita to continue to wow the fans. But it’s also a great chance for “El Perro Peligroso” to try and test himself out with a big international star so he can also do some growing.

All that, plus The Acclaimed in action as well as ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry speaking following his ‘Last Burial’ match against Christian Cage at AEW Revolution and more tonight on this AEW Rampage card.
