#AndNEW: The Briscoes Win ROH Tag Team Championships

The Briscoes captured the ROH World Tag Team Championships at Final Battle. They defeated FTR in a Double Dog Collar match in the third meeting between the two fan-favorite teams.

The Briscoes Win The ROH World Tag Team Championships at Final Battle

This match was made official on AEW Dynamite. Following FTR’s main event match the Gunn Club appeared on the screen to read a Christmas Card from the Briscoes. The card laid out the challenge for this match. Following the match, the Gunn Club jumped FTR only for The Briscoes to come out and get them away from the ring in a showing of mutual respect.

FTR first came to Ring of Honor at the 2021 edition of Final Battle. This was the final event under the previous ownership and generation of ROH. They first competed in a match at Supercard of Honor earlier this year. They had a two out of three falls match at Death Before Dishonor with FTR winning both matches. The Briscoes came into Final Battle and won back their titles in a bloody, violent, and memorable match.

It ended with Dax Harwood being choked out, forcing the referee to stop the match. The match saw the use of chairs, tables, and of course the chains that locked the wrestlers to each other as the four men brawled all over the building.

The Briscoe Brothers are now 13-time ROH World Tag Team Champions, a record that will not soon be broken by anyone in Ring of Honor.
