#AndNEW: Nick Gage Wins GCW World Championship

Night One of GCW Fight Club ended with a new champion. Nick Gage captured the GCW World Championship from Jon Moxley in a title versus career match.

Nick Gage Wins GCW World Championship in Title Versus Career Match

This marks the third reign as GCW World Champion for Nick Gage. He first won the title in December 2017 and held the title for 722 days until December 2019. He lost the title to AJ Gray who immediately lost the title to Ricky Shane Page. Gage and Page then entered a feud that culminated at Spring Break 2021 when Gage defeated Page for the title.

Gage was immediately confronted by Jon Moxley, but Gage would soon have his hands full with Matt Cardona who upset Gage to win the title in July 2021. Moxley dethroned Cardona at Art of War Games in September of 2021, answering an open challenge. Gage took some time away from the ring to heal and get back into ring shape. His training to get back into the ring has been documented on various social media platforms. Moxley and Gage have a long history and the promos in the build-up to this match were very personal. With this win, Gage is now back and has cemented his spot at the top of Game Changer Wrestling. He will add to his already record-setting 828 combined days as GCW Champion.

GCW’s Fight Club continues tomorrow night with Fight Club Night 2.
