WWE ratings for this week’s Monday Night Raw saw a significant dip for the red brand, with Raw posting its lowest viewership total since July 4th, also marking the lowest viewership total since Triple H took over head of creative on July 25th. Against tough NFL competition, Raw faltered, but was it just a football double header that was to blame or has the honeymoon for Triple H’s WWE finally come to a halt? As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw had a total of just 1,593,000 viewers. According to ITN WWE, this number marks Raw’s lowest such viewership in the last 11 weeks. It continues a downward dip from last week, which saw Raw drop 384,000 viewers compared to the week prior. This two-week trend marks the first time in the Triple H era where the viewership number dipped below 1.7M in consecutive weeks. It is worth noting however, that this same two-week period saw the first two Monday Night Football double-headers of the season. Football season has always led to a down period for wrestling, Raw in particular, as the red brand hasn’t recorded a single 2M viewership show during the months of September – November since 2019.
Aside from plummeting viewership numbers and Raw’s worst such following since early July, the red brand also earned just a 0.45 in the P18-49 demo, and was just #5 on cable among that same demo. Raw was beat out by the Tennessee Titans vs Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles vs Minnesota Vikings Monday night games, which combined to total over 20M views. And while Raw did finish just fifth on cable, it can take solace in that it was only beat out by football as the other top programs included the Monday Night Kickoff show, and Monday Night postgame show, which ranked second and third respectively in the demo on the night. Of the three hours, Raw’s first hour was it’s best, losing viewers throughout until 11pm.
It was not as if Raw was a phone-it-in show either as the September 19 edition featured a United States Championship match between Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins, a championship celebration for Damage CNTRL, Kevin Owens taking on Austin Theory, the Brawling Brutes against the Street Profits, Finn Balor and Damian Priest facing off against Rey Mysterio and Matt Riddle, and a special Miz TV with Miz and Tommaso Ciampa.
