Phase 1 of the Big Lucha World Championship Tournament takes place on July 29th and it culminates in an 8-man single knockout round. The eliminatory round will wrap up this week on Wednesday night to decide the final representative of Big Lucha World alongside Flamita, Emperador Azteca, and Cometa Maya as the home talent during Phase 1. El Bendito of Black Generacion and Vajero will meet on July 27th to determine the final Big Lucha World rep and the guest luchadors competing are Texano Jr, Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr, Rey Horus, and Super Nova. Big Lucha: Phase 1 of the World Championship Tournament
The tournament matches for Phase 1 are set and Flamita is the heavy favorite to advance all the way to the finals. Black Generacion has promised to keep the newly formed World Championship in Mexico once the grand finale is all done and finished but the promotion itself might have other plans. Big Lucha has big intentions of seeing their World Championship get international exposure along with the promotion itself. Texano Jr and Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr aren’t ones to overlook in Phase 1 either since they are big lucha libre names internationally and viable options from the invited pool to advance to next month’s show with is set of August 16th.
Gravity and Sussy Love vs. Yutani and Disoa Nix
A mixed tag team match has also been announced for the Phase 1 show later this week, Gravity & Sussy Love vs. the team of Yutani and Diosa Nix. The rivalry between Gravity and Yutani of Black Generacion has been going on since the inception of Big Lucha last year, things were building to a blowoff match at the anniversary show but that didn’t go as planned. Black Generacion will definitely have a strong presence throughout all 3 phases of the Big Lucha World Championship Tournament over the next few months.
