W Morrissey IMPACT Wrestling AEW Debut

W. Morrissey made his AEW debut on tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite. He debuted as the mystery opponent of MJF’s choosing to take on Wardlow.

W. Morrissey Makes AEW Debut

It was widely speculated that Morrissey would be the opponent for Wardlow tonight. During a backstage interview last week MJF made a phone call before addressing Wardlow. He let Wardlow know that his opponent would be smarter, stronger, and taller than him. He ended by saying “You Can’t Teach That” a callback to Morrissey’s catchphrase when he was in WWE under the name Big Cass. The catchphrase was a signature part of his tag team alongside Enzo Amore.

Morrissey has been seen weekly on IMPACT Wrestling as of late. He debut for IMPACT last year and has found himself in multiple title matches ever since. He was recently locked in a feud with Moose following Moose’s betrayal of Morrissey to win the Call Your Shot Gauntlet that Moose would later use to become IMPACT World Champion.

It isn’t clear if this is the last appearance for the foreseeable future for Morrissey in AEW yet. IMPACT and AEW were in a working relationship for part of 2021 that saw wrestlers from one company appearing on the other. Both Kenny Omega and Christian Cage held the IMPACT World Championship last year before the relationship ended.
