Taya Valkyrie Returns to IMPACT

Taya Valkyrie appeared at IMPACT Wrestling’s Multiverse of Matches show as part of WrestleCon. She confronted Deonna Purrazzo following her open challenge.

Taya Valkyrie Returns to IMPACT to Confront Deonna Purrazzo

Deonna Purrazzo held an open challenge for either the ROH Women’s World Championship or the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. The call was answered by Faby Apache who chose to challenge Purrazzo for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. Purrazzo won the AAA Title from Apache in a winner takes all match at TripleMania XXIX in August of 2021. Purrazzo put her IMPACT Knockouts Championship on the line in that match and walked out with both titles. Apache was unable to retake the AAA Title tonight as she taped out to the Fujiwara Armbar.

Following her victory Purrazzo grabbed a microphone and addressed Mercedes Martinez winning the ROH Interm Women’s Championship. It was at that point that Taya Valkyrie made her return to IMPACT and confronted Purrazzo. She made her message clear. Purrazzo should not be worried about the ROH Championship. She laid out a challenge to Purrazzo for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Rebellion.

Valkyrie’s last match in an IMPACT ring was against Purrazzo. The two squared off at Hard to Kill for Purrazzo’s Knockouts Championship. Valkyrie was unable to defeat Purrazzo for the title. We will see if the two reignite their feud at Rebellion.
