Per Fightful, it’s been confirmed that Nick Gage has signed an exclusive, multi-year contract with Game Changer Wrestling (GCW). This will allow him to continue moving forward as part of the GCW brand. Furthermore, per the terms of the deal in question, Gage will be able to work fewer matches. Currently, Gage wrestles with the company as one-half of its Tag Team Champions alongside Matt Tremont, the two winning the titles at last month’s The WRLD on GCW event.
Nick Gage Signs Deal With GCW
What to Know Regarding Multi-Year Contract
Fightful spoke with Brett Lauderdale, Owner and Promoter of Game Changer Wrestling, regarding Nick Gage’s exclusive deal. Lauderdale offered the following statement.
“This is a major milestone moment for both Nick and GCW. I have always been against the idea of contracts in GCW but there are exceptions to every rule.
From day 1, Nick has put his body, and literally his life on the line for the fans inside the squared circle. He deserves, and has earned the right to be rewarded for 20+ years of hard work and sacrifice.
This historic contract will do just that, allowing him to continue his in-ring career at a pace that is beneficial to his health, while beginning to focus on opportunities that take him towards the next phase of his career.
GCW would not have achieved the level of success it has without Nick F’N Gage, and we are proud to be able to say that GCW will remain Nick’s home for the rest of his career.”
Nick Gage’s life and career have been detailed in his Dark Side of the Ring episode that aired in May of last year. Since making his professional wrestling debut in 1999, Gage became a staple of the deathmatch wrestling scene, becoming especially prominent in Combat Zone Wrestling. “The King” was one of the most decorated wrestlers in the promotion’s history, winning 4 CZW World Tag Team Championship with different partners and 2 CZW World Heavyweight Championships, just to name a few accolades. However, it’s his work in GCW that most fans are familiar with today. In addition to being a current GCW Tag Team Champion, he is a 2x GCW World Champion.
