While the wrestling world was buzzing from the outcome of AEW’s Full Gear event the Joshi world was alive for the finals of Stardom’s annual tag league. After a show full of twists and turns we had our final, FWC (Koguma & Hazuki) vs last year’s winners MOMOAZ (Momo Watanabe & AZM). It was FWC that came away with the win as both Koguma and Hazuki gained their first accolades since their respective returns to Stardom this year.

FWC has to wrestle three matches in one night to reach the final. First, they defeated Saki Kashima and Fukigen Death, then they had a play-off with former Goddess of Stardom champions AphroditE (Utami Hayashishita & Saya Kamitani) which Hazuki won with a Hazukistral. The play-off win put them through to the finals which was won by Koguma who got the pin on AZM.
Koguma & Hazuki winning makes a lot of sense as they were many people’s early favorites to win the league. Hazuki’s return to Stardom was focused on her desire to fend off the outsiders who have taken over Stardom, it just so happens that the tag titles are held by two such outsiders in Giulia and Syuri. Not only is FWC vs ALK a massive match for the tag division but it will help Hazuki achieve her goal of reclaiming some of Stardom’s gold for its homegrown talent. We will be left waiting for that match as Giulia is currently absent with an injury but when she returns we will see an epic Goddess of Stardom title clash between the tag league winners FWC, and the current champs ALK.
