TNA Thursday Night iMPACT Review (7/16/26) – The Future Can Be Bright

Not Bang Bang

Brian Myers of The System joined Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on commentary for this match. Ricky Sosa seemed to be in control, but his opponent was Bear Bronson, a crushing wrestling machine. In the end, after Brian Myers interfered, Bronson loaded Sosa up onto his shoulders, and Sosa avoided the Bear Down. Sosa set up for Blue Thunderbang, and his back gave out. Bronson capitalized; he slammed down Sosa with the Shock Treatment and drove him down again with the Bear Down to secure the pinfall.

NXT’s Thea Hail creates the surprise

Thea Hail and Harley Hudson shook hands after the bell rang as a sign of respect. The match they delivered was very, very good. Hudson fell victim to the former NXT Women’s North American Champion when Hail avoided a leg drop and slammed into Hudson with Boing from the bottom rope to secure the pinfall. She wants the TNA Knockouts TV title, as she confessed later.

Nic Nemeth vs. KC Navarro?

KC Navarro interrupted a proud TNA World Champion. Nic Nemeth wasn’t interested in discussing with Navarro and demanded he leave the ring. Navarro started to walk away, but he cut off Nemeth again. He had his eyes on the TNA World Championship. Navarro wanted a shot at the TNA World Championship and asked Nic Nemeth to put his title on the line against him next week. Nemeth will grant him the title shot on one condition: if KC Navarro leaves him alone, then he will talk to Director of Operations Daria Rae about making the match happen.
