Thursday Night iMPACT Review – The Nygma’s View

Unhappy Mr. Ali

I told you in the preview that this match was more about The Great Hands’ fate than the TNA World Tag Team Championship changing hands. Tasha Steelz was at the ringside, but that didn’t change anything. In the end, Matt Hardy slammed Hotch down with Side Effects, Jeff Hardy drove Skyler down with Twist of Fate, and Matt Hardy delivered another Twist of Fate onto Skyler. Jeff Hardy crushed Skyler with the Swanton Bomb, securing the pinfall.

After the match, Jason Hotch and John Skyler were met on the ramp by TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali and Special Agent 0. Ali made a phone call while walking away. After Tasha Steelz disappointed him last week, we can expect some changes in Order 4 in the coming weeks (not on Special Agent 0’s side).

The King’s Speech

Frankie Kazarian welcomed Moose to The King’s Speech. Kazarian reflected on how Moose had now defeated every member of The System. Moose has been in TNA for over a decade, and at Slammiversary, he got to share a moment in the ring with family for the first time.

Moose is ready to continue dominating in TNA as the face of the franchise, and Moose respects Kazarian for being one of the pillars of TNA. Moose proposed that they go head-to-head in a singles match, but Kazarian shared no interest. AJ Francis hit the ring with Expressions, and Moose was ready to fight. AJ Francis accepted Moose’s offer to fight next week.

Indi Hartwell and Harley Hudson prevail

The tournament’s rules: Every tournament bracket has a 10-minute time limit. Once a competitor is crowned, this title will be exclusively defended on iMPACT! And Indi Hartwell made the first step to the TNA Knockouts TV title when she defeated Vicious Vicki Venuto. Later in the episode, The Gnomie Gabby Forza came up short in her match against a returning and determined Jody Threat. Threat hoisted Forza onto her shoulders and drove her down with the Pop Shove It to secure the pinfall.

About Steph Franchomme

Steph, for Stephanie, is not only eNYGMAtic, charismatic, but also “très chic.” Living in France, her birth country, she broke the language barrier to become a respected writer and interviewer on many wrestling promotions. She has developed a very special bond with TNA Wrestling over time to the point of becoming an Authority on the company. The French Nygma, as she loves to call herself, has been a wrestling writer and editor for nearly a decade for SteelChair Magazine/Wrestling SC, TWM and Distortion Media. She has interviewed hundreds of wrestlers from WWE, MLW, TNA, NXT, AEW, and many more promotions. The Nygma is now the new “Authority” on TNA Wrestling and NXT for Last Word on Pro Wrestling. The writer/editor also runs @3WWrestling, her own platform.
